Fun Roguelike!
Extremely stylish melding of mechanical ideas from multiple genres (Hack and slash loot and advancement systems, souls-esque combat loop, bullet hell attack patterns, roguelike progression, etc.) in a way that seems like it could be slapdash and derivative at first glance, but arranged and played with in a synergistic way that demonstrates how well the developers understand what makes them all actually work. Really excited to see more!

The game is hard. It needs a tutorial to help the player understand the mechanics. What are Guilt points? I still don't know and no explanation is found anywhere about it when I last played. I don't recommend the game in its current state.
I enjoyed it and completed a playthrough in my first and only attempt. It is decently challenging, but I hope to see more. The skill tree is pretty cool, but it needs a few unique nodes sprinkled into the mix.
This game is a gem and brim full of innovation and creativity these devs will make bank once they come out with the final release.

Has potential, but needs more dev time for sure. Also too easy for my taste.
This is a really cool game so far. I always describe it as chibi-Souls. The gameplay is fun, the music is fantastic. Outer Brain is a great studio.
I always sigh when I hear about a new game and it's a roguelike, I feel pretty fatigued with them and they need to be something special to keep me interested. This one is one of my favourites. I'll try to keep it quick and easy to read with bullet points: + I adore the artstyle, charmingly macabre and lo-fi, but full of detail and effects that really bring the dying, rotting world to life, ironically enough. It makes me think of Tim Burton-esque puppets, equal parts creepy and cute. If you love this artstyle as much as I do, you should look at Blood Typers, another game by these developers. + It's easy to see where they got their mechanical inspirations from, and they implement them well. You have the Dark Souls combat, the item mechanics from a Diablo game but improving your gear has a much larger focus, a randomised skill web from Path of Exile, graves from Nioh, although instead of summoning other players' spirits, you get to loot them instead. They all work together to make something really nice and fun to engage with. + It runs perfectly. No optimisation issues, easily 100+ fps at all times, no hitching or stutters, nothing. It's kind of sad nowadays this isn't just a given. - It feels too easy. I played the occultist as my main, which was labelled as an "advanced" class, but after dying a couple times while getting the hang of things, I quickly became a demigod that melted bosses and normal enemies alike. The final boss I absolutely demolished in about 5 or 6 seconds. I took a break from that character and made another, with the warrior class, and I also became really strong and killed the final boss first try, but just killed things slower. - It's a bit short. I think if the overworld hex maps were much denser, and if the game in general was harder, I wouldn't speed through it as quickly as I could. The environments are pretty and distinct from one another, and I wouldn't mind spending more time in them. I'm sure there's some dungeon styles I haven't seen. - There's a bit of jank but nothing gamebreaking. If you have the crafting window up and click on the fate wheel, close the fate wheel, the crafting window is stuck on screen. You have to "re-open" it, then close it, then it's gone. Clicking the fate wheel makes your character take a swing, which is kind of funny. In the map, the tooltips that popup over land show up underneath HUD elements that aren't important on this screen. The item modification windows do not accept the mouse like all other UI, you have to use WASD to move, E to confirm, and ESC for cancel. I can't wait for more!
