Get lost in a deliciously dark horror anthology. Inspired by Shudder’s Creepshow series, this point-and-click adventure has gone all kinds of wrong.

About

In the mood for a story? The Creep has picked these out just for you...
Creepshow is a collection of twisted, self-contained tales where the humor is dark, and the endings are… not what you expected. Each story drops you into a nightmare with new characters, new horrors, and a fate that you won’t see coming.

Follow Danny and his friends as a bad day at the mall turns into something much, much worse.
Their search for the truth of what happened to Danny’s father turns dark as they uncover sinister secrets.
Fate brings Danny to The Reader, a mysterious fortune-teller, who has a taste for treacherous tales.
Expect pulp-inspired visuals, a tone that plays up the camp without losing its wit, and endings that hit hard. The horror here isn't just trying to scare you... It's about enjoying the whole thing a little too much.

All the thrills and chills you expect from Shudder's Creepshow
Play through one overarching narrative, with two additional self-contained stories
Stylized comic-book environments with horror mini-games throughout each story

Creepshow is a horror adventure game based on the famous Creepshow movies and TV show. Gameplay involves lots of walking around, talking to other characters, gathering items, and solving minor puzzles. The game plays like a Telltale game, with some simple "point & click" adventure elements. There are 2 Creepshow stories to complete in this game. Total gametime to 100% took me 2.5 hours. + The game has many beautiful environments. At times the game is very colorful. + The voice acting is decent. + A few unique puzzles. +/- The first story was mildly amusing, but the second story bored me to tears. - Where is the famous Creep?! Throw the new purple fortune teller in the garbage. - There should be at least 3 Creepshow stories to play. Game feels rushed and unfinished. - The game is only 2.5 hours long, and I took my time and searched everywhere. - The game is strictly linear. No real choices on where to go, no dialog options, no multiple endings. - The running animation of your character looks weird. - The ending of the game is a total letdown. - I walked through walls a few times. - No interesting collectibles. There are a few collectibles but they are useless. - When you start the second chapter you have an option to go left or right, if you go left you take a 5 minute walk to nowhere and end up at a fallen tree, go right! Not much to say here, because there is not much game here. What a disappointment from one of my favorite horror franchises. Seems like the developers ran out of money or had a strict low budget. Had me walking for 5 minutes hunting down a key only to get blocked by a fallen tree. With a walking speed of 0.5km/h back to the place I started gave me 0 new points of interest. No little scares, no new interactions, no new views or sounds. Just straight up wasting my time. When the game isn't boring, it's frustrating.
Creepshow is easily one of my most favorite horror anthologies of all time. So upon hearing about this I was ecstatic. Loading menu and music are getting me super excited. I hear the voices of the main characters and this feels great. What I am met with is a laggy experience. Hitching every fives seconds no matter what settings I use. This is a horrible mess and should have never been released in this state. UPDATE: So apparently anything over 120hz will cause the game to lag. Overall the game was very fun. While it has very simple and straightforward gameplay it made up for it by giving some really good Creepshow stories. I thoroughly enjoyed every moment of it and even got every Steam Achievement. If your looking for a solid 2 to 3 hours of fun for a dirt cheap price then pick it up.
[[[[ NO SPOILERS ]]]] Video Gameplay: https://youtu.be/XBWfg3aq-nQ No one was more excited than I when I logged in to STEAM to find a game for tonight and discovered a Creepshow game had released! I've been a HUGE fan of Creepshow since the 80s on thru the Shudder era so I didn't hesitate to pay $11.99 for it. Sadly, my excitement soon turned to frustration as I encountered glitch after glitch. First, there was getting trapped and stuck behind one of my mall friends. Then, the item selection menu wont actually select an item (I literally pressed every single mouse and keyboard button). And then I couldn't select a screwdriver from the same menu in the bathroom at work. Finally, whatever was in the fridge it wouldn't let me select, and just gave me a broken word bubble over and over (see video). I will be expecting a refund for this as the game is literally unplayable, but if the studio fixes these issues I would love to play a working version and amend my review. I dearly love this franchise and it honestly breaks my heart to have to write this review. love it , I only completed the first story , but alrady want more , it definitely feels like creepshow / tales from the crypt vibe . absolutely enjoying it and I hope ,hope , hope for more stories . first story took me well over an hour to complete it and enjoy it . Please create dlc's for many many more stories . keep it coming . I did NOT see glitches or bugs other than what's in the story . Whoever hates this game is smoking some bad stuff ........ I enjoyed it . It works perfect and is fun .
Man, I don't know how to review this game. I loved the artistic style, I liked the story well enough and thought it definitely had that Creepshow vibe... but at the same time, there were a fair amount of bugs and the game is really short with a fairly unsatisfying ending. I think there's something here, but I'm not sure this game should have been released as it is. I don't know. If you're a big fan of Creepshow, maybe check it out, otherwise I'd save your money.
As a horror fan, I was ecstatic when I heard there was going to be a Creepshow game. I wishlisted it immediately and counted down the days until release. Unfortunately, this month’s issue of terrifying tales fell extremely short of expectations. I didn’t go into this expecting groundbreaking graphics or perfectly polished gameplay. What I did expect from a game carrying the Creepshow name was interesting tales, memorable stories, and at least a few genuinely creepy or shocking moments. Sadly, this game delivers none of those things. The biggest problem is that it’s just amazingly boring. The artwork can be pretty neat at times, and I genuinely like the overall concept, but the stories themselves are terrible. They’re uninteresting, predictable, and lack the twisted charm that makes Creepshow what it is. Nothing felt particularly shocking, scary, funny, or even memorable. For a game built around telling horror stories, that’s a pretty fatal flaw. That’s what makes this one so disappointing. The developers had an opportunity to make something really unique—a playable horror anthology that captured the spirit of Creepshow. Instead, it feels more like shovelware with a recognizable horror name attached to it. What a waste of a great concept. Learn from my mistake: don’t pick this up simply because it has Creepshow on the cover. If we’re comparing this game to the quality of the movies, it somehow manages to make Creepshow 3 look good. And we all know what an achievement that is. Run and hide—not in fear, but from this horrible game.
On s'ennuie à mourir !
As a big fan of the original movies and the Shudder anthology series this game was a joy to play! It feels like a much more simplified “Telltale Walking Dead” type of game we’ve seen before but the storytelling and mini games end up being quite fun. Excited to play through this again for the Halloween season as I binge the show again!
