About

Granvir is an action roguelite featuring mech building. Players battle through a route of their choice reaching extraction and completing side objectives at the cost of valuable resources. Between battles, players can swap out parts for upgrades found on the battlefield and manage their campaign by taking on loans to afford ammunition, aiding the locals for support in battle and more.

Equip devastating melee weapons such as swords, rocket spears and pile bunkers. Wield powerful long range guns like cannons, machine guns, flamethrowers and rocket pods. Mix and match armaments to suit your play style.
Mix torsos, legs, armatures and special modules to customize your Granvir. Defeating enemy ace pilots unlocks their unique parts.

Complete any campaign in single-player or multiplayer co-op with up to 10 Granvir pilots at a time. Share parts and resources utilizing the squad depot in rest areas as you plan your next moves.
No campaign is the same as you manage time, resources and your route to each objective. Each zone impacts what services and resources are available. Use down time between missions to refit and upgrade your Granvir to prevail.

It's an alright game for the price but it doesn't explain its mechanics very well and is overall really slow and clunky, could get a decent few hours into it maybe if you're into that but it wasn't for me
Probably among my greatest steam purchases, and it's an absolute blast to play with my friends. I TRULY HOPE THIS GAME CONTINUES TO GROW. (maybe steam workshop?)
Fantastic mech roguelite game. You start off with a basic mech and either find components or weapons or you get them as rewards. Fans of the mech genre should definitely check this out!
Peak Mech Game
Mech my day, Mother****er
Good.
I haven't even finished playing this game due to work and other games picked up during the sale but I'll say this: These are some of THE BEST AND MOST RESPONSIVE devs I've ever seen working on any game. Not just responsive like "Oh yeah we read that, thanks!" but responsive like you report an issue or make a minor suggestion for improvement and immediately in the next update (and updates are quite frequent right now) they will have addressed the issue or acted on the suggestion in some way. Also the game is fun as hell if you like non-super-robot mech games
though you can get a little super-robot-y if you built your guy right
. You got melee, you got ranged, you got gun arms, you got sword arms, you got crazy legs of all varieties, you got bodies with built in autocannons, you got back launchers, you got boosters, it's a madhouse and the runs are long enough that you can really fish for the gear you want once you're past the Zero Front campaign (first campaign, which you can also play for free). Also you can paint your mech in a very, very detailed way, which is always nice. I'd love to see more modes for this, more customizations, always more parts, and so on. The base game is just so competently done, which is rare these days. I'd buy DLC for this. I'd buy a sequel to this. I'd buy the whole hypothetical franchise including the card game spinoff, the 120 hour JRPG dating sim, and the turn based strategy gaiden game. We need more devs that care this much, and we need more games with this much care put into them.
Short version: Granvir is A LOT of fun. Recommend! Long version: Granvir honestly feels like it takes a lot of ideas from Japanese style mecha along with the clunkier, more robust, Mechwarrior style. Has a lot of the granularity and buildcrafting of other mech-type games, without wasting too much dev-time on high poly models or insane graphics. Not to say it isn't a good looking game; all the assets fit together, the theme is cohesive aesthetically. The style of the mech parts fit together well, and you can really feel the care they've put into maintaining how well everything works together. I really like how heat isn't done per weapon or augment, but instead is shared by your entire mech. The variety of parts is awesome, I really enjoy that, it makes it worth looting and playing. My last build I had a mech on tank treads equipped with a rocket booster, along with a chassis that allowed hover jumps. I was able to boost around everywhere insanely fast, and jump/hover over obstacles. This made the later levels much more survivable, especially when air strikes and bombings start coming alongside large waves of enemies. I haven't done much with melee up close, but the patch notes seem to indicate they really care about making them viable. Especially considering the amount of movement affecting parts like the ones I mentioned before. They even have horse and spider style mech legs. Walkers, hoverbeds, tank treads, all sorts. I do however enjoy the rocket spear, it's really fun to nail an enemy from far away with. The first person mode could use a little more work, as I feel the simplicity of it isn't scratching the itch. A blocky or voxel cockpit would be nice. Especially if it integrated holographic screens instead of the plain "see through" cockpit the game has now. Maybe a boot up animation if you start the level in first person. A difficulty mode or campaign adjustment that only allows first person would be nice. Modifiers for campaigns would make a HUGE difference, stuff like changing enemy types that spawn, how they call in air support, ammo usage, enemy or player HP/heat values, stuff like that. The two boss fights I've done were fun. Different build types will have different ways of fighting the bosses, with different degrees of success. This is definitely worth the price as of this review ($15.) and I'd pay $20 or $25 retroactively if I knew how good it was going to be. I've definitely gotten my playtime out of it. (I have unrecorded playtime on a friend's PC of around 10-15 hours.)
Loving it so far. Eats time like nothing else has in some time for me. I'd like to see some more verticality/jump jet capability with terrain to reward or incentivize the player to explore these areas. It just sounds like a ton of fun jumping through a canyon, shooting enemies across gorges, having outposts to defend or assault, etc. Energy weapons seem cool but impractical with how rare the battery packs are. They should be made available from supply drops or something in the field with Scavenger pilot, otherwise there's no real reason to take over ballistics weapons. I come from Battletech, where Medium Lasers are one of the most cost-effective, energy-efficient weapons in the game because you can keep firing them so long as you manage your heat. I'd like to see some compromise to make energy weapons more usable, and earlier on in a campaign.
