ragnarok might be endless, but grind is eternal
One of the best DLCs I've had the pleasure of playing, not only does it introduce new characters and levels/story, it also improved the build system of the game by giving it much more depth and personalisation than before! 10/10
Basically the "Monster Hunter Iceborn/Sunbreak" equivalent for Granblue Relink.

New difficulties, with enemies that actually fight back (unlike the base game where enemies didn't even start to offer any resistance until you hit the very very end-game). The variety of new enemies is on the low-side, but re-used enemies are souped up in the Monster-Hunter-Master/G-Rank way, keeping them fresh somewhat.
A new frontier of grind, with earlier grind streamlined out (easier to obtain earlier-game materials, etc.) to help you catch up much quicker.
New characters to play with. And if you don't like any of them, all existing characters got three unique skill trees that tweak how they play in various ways.
Various QoL features
Balance passes to make a wider variety of weapons and skills viable choices.
The only real criticism I have is that once again, damage-boosting sigils are basically worthless and only serve to inflate the drop pool. You get so much strength from various passive sources that "Damage Cap Up" is the actual "do more damage" option.
After another 100+ hours of Endless Ragnarok, I can finally stop for a while and write this review. To sum it up, if you enjoyed the base game, the grind loop of fighting the same monsters and bosses repeatedly in order to build up your favourite characters, as well as optimizing builds and fights if you want to go even further beyond or just that kind of math gamer, then you will absolutely love Endless Ragnarok. If you do not like this kind of grind or gameplay loop, I wouldn’t even bother getting Endless Ragnarok, let alone the base game. This DLC is pretty much targeted to those players who enjoyed said loop, and you won’t find much change in that department. If you were fed up with the base game, I will warn players that the DLC will have you doing the same thing all over again. I don’t think it’ll be worth it for someone who simply played to the main story’s end and was discouraged from attempting the rest of the post game quests for whatever reason, because the DLC is essentially another expanded post game. It also starts at the end of Proud difficulty quests, which in the base game was the end of the post game content. You will see a lot of recycled monsters but in a higher difficulty, and you will fight them again and again, and the DLC story that pushes you in that direction isn’t much of anything at all. While I think this is a con, it still managed to hook me for another hundred plus hours, because the gameplay is that fun. I would even say the gameplay loop and mechanics, enhancements/changes, and new characters in the DLC put this game as one of my favourite games I played in 2026. Where it suffers is the amount of recycled content, though at least for me, the new fights and expanded vertical progression made up for it. I think if they plan to do future updates, they could put a little more effort in monster variety especially as the difficulty increases. Additionally, there could be additional content outside of the typical gameplay loop such as exploration or scavenging modes where we can make good use of certain animated emotes (UMAPYOI UMAPYOI)! A new Conflux mode was added to get new and returning players up to speed to experience the DLC content sooner, but it is essentially a farming simulator that doesn’t have a lot of interesting mechanics or real friction behind it except to get players up to speed. With that said, the post game Defy Infinity quests are pretty hype. It is unfortunate there are only 5 quests, 2 of which are recycled bosses (I still hate fighting Faa-san bruh), so I do hope they can expand on the boss variety because the new ones were super fun. Endless Ragnarok feels like it brought a lot of hype and energy back to the game for the better, especially with cross platform play and I could not WAIT to play the new content. I would encourage anyone who enjoys cinematic, fast paced mechanical action combat boss fights to push through to the DLC if what you read above feels like it floats your boat because some of the new boss fights are pretty peak and the game is incredibly optimized gameplay and style wise! Also, for what it's worth, I appreciate that Cygames did not lock anything behind a paywall, bar a few cute animated emotes and certain colour combos for characters. Everything in the game can be obtained by simply playing the game. Endless Ragnarok feels like going back to an MMORPG to experience new content and that launch hype vibe is immaculate.
别的不说,这个价钱就值一个好评!
