Overall a good DLC, but not great. Interesting new characters and sigils, and I like the new state of buildcrafting over the previous state thanks to the introduction of Mastery. There are some really fun new fights, but this comes with the caveat that there are far too many reused fights. I understand wanting to pad things out a bit, but by the end some of the fights just feel like "Really? I have to fight [Insert Enemy] *again*?" Still, it's good, it's fun, it's worth picking up. That's my only major complaint about the DLC.
One of the best games of 2024 now with more things to do in the post game? Sign me up. Instant purchase. If you loved the base game and its endgame loop, this expansion is a no brainer. Before this release I've spent most of my time continuously beating up Lucilius just for the love of the game. The new characters are really fun. I am very happy with Maglielle and Fediel especially. My main Rosetta also received a major power spike and doing the hardest content didn't feel like I was throwing for picking her. Conflux is a nice addition that somewhat streamlines letting your less used characters catch up to your mains. It's also a good change of pace when you're slightly tired of beating up yet another dragon for its horn. Most of the expansion content will remain relevant after you're done building your party, unlike in the base game where you're only left with like 3 fights that still present some form of a challenge. The only grievances I have with this expansion: - Very few completely new enemies, a lot of the fights are reskins with additional moves here and there, and it feels like most of the quests are dragon fights. - The expansion's story is even more whatever than the base game's. The epilogue chapter format previously used for Id's arc also doesn't really work for cool presentation tbh, there are substantially less hype moments and aura scenes which elevated the base game's story and actually made it fun to play through. Most of what you're doing is talking to the quest counter lady to warp to another arena to fight in before coming back to a short conversation between you and another character telling you to go fight this other thing. - Don't expect much in terms of more creative character builds, we're still stacking as much damage cap as we can and many other sigils are just not worth it. Stun power is also now mandatory if you wish to grind the very endgame quests. - This one's more of an unreasonable nitpick but the soundtrack selection for some fights was disappointing. I think all of the score is reused from other Granblue media which is fine for fan service and I have no issue with that, but I wish they didn't do stuff like have a Lucilius fight with Morning Light Hymnus, it just feels off... I think the Conflux is the only thing that had new music produced for it. Which is a bit sad, because I was kind of expecting a new banger like End of Ragnarok.
👑 Ein Meisterwerk für das Endgame! (Endless Ragnarok DLC Review)
About 20 hours into Endless Ragnarok, it's more Relink, which is fantastic. The patch changes that came with it changes a number of little things for the better, lots of quality of life. Most of the new quests are from the Quest board, meaning they are almost entirely multiplayer. The new Roguelike mode, Conflux, is single player only, which I think is the only real misstep in the expansion. It's a simple review, but if you simply want more Granblue Fantasy Relink, this is absolutely worth it.
Back at it again with an addicting DLC plsplsplsplspls keep adding more also the story is still absolute cinema as always
A fantastic expansion to an already fantastic game. While I would've liked less reskinned bosses, the few new bosses they added were so fun. The last boss in the storyline, especially, was a spectacle! All the new features they included, from the Conflux rougelike mode to the new character enhancement systems, means I could be grinding this game for a long time. If you were already addicted to the base game, you're likely already as addicted as I am. If you haven't played this game before, now's a great time to get into it! You'll definitely get your money's worth.
