you can turn a gorilla into 3 hypothetical bananas
Daisuke's true vision. Has way more strategy than Guilty Gear Strive. Kill wife.

Simple to learn, hard to master, and baffling to explain, Goritaire is one of those novelties that I wish I had heard of years ago (as this is a digitization of an existing Japanese card game). It's a very basic premise - make a deck of 36 cards from a pool of Gorilla or Banana cards, and use it to try and assemble seven Gorillas in a row while keeping them fed the entire time. It's something that I can tell has a lot of mechanical and mathematical depth to it, but I feel like I don't get any of it... yet; I'm hoping that this port will be a foundation for an English-speaking community for the game that can develop some proper Goritaire theory, but who knows. It's not the easiest game to see the appeal in, but for $5, it's worth messing around with!
The goal is to get Gorilla. To assemble Gorilla, to become Gorilla, to become one being of Gorilla. To get Gorilla, you need banana. No banana? No Gorilla. No Gorilla left behind. All Gorilla need banana no banana No Gorillas. Sometimes you must turn Gorilla into Hypothetical Banana. Sometime you destroy banana to make Hypothetical banana. I give this 4/5 Gorillas, and 7/8 Banana .
Still better than magic the gathering
"Bananas are a complete diet. Gorillas consume bananas, making them complete creatures." I dunno why the hell ArcSys made this game but I'm glad they did. Super fun little mind-bending solitaire card game about trying to control the speed at which you utilize cards without building out your board state too fast or burning through your deck too fast, sort of unlike any other card game I've played (but maybe it's riffing on something I've never heard of). Neat little puzzle, good for filling 15 minutes at a time. Also, they went needlessly hard in the art assets and the writing, both of which are absolutely hilarious. You will be hitting the Victory Gorilla pose after every game, I promise you.
I enjoy the simplicity of only having two types of cards in the deck, it removes the burden of having to agonize over deck construction. It's all about resource management and reacting to draws. It's fun to open up the game to take a couple minutes to tackle a challenge.
This game will make you smarter Learned about Japan and its curry industry by looking up why this game is obsessed with curry (For real, that brand is crazy huge there and I had no idea it existed 2 hours ago) Game is also good, I was expecting an ironic 5-minute game but, no, it's a really nice and competent solo card game
Despite costing peanuts, this game is about bananas
