Reviews
It is a very simple rouge type game. Nothing to big, but it was a easy game, to play for fun!
Colourful game with good music and good humor. This is very fun game to put many hours on when you are relaxing. There is also some challenge to game if you want that.
Very weak platforming shooter.

No time for a review so I give this game a rank D. Mediocre game - sadly you can forget it.. See my profile for more details about my reviews. Additional notes: on the fence on this one, it is not bad and I could have put a thumbs up, but since it has "Very Positive reviews", my review won't do it much harm but counterbalance it a bit instead, as I reckon this game should get Mixed or Mostly Positive at best... It is a very basic, not super bad but really not good bullet hell roguelite. And that's it, there is really nothing to it. Gets super boring after the half hour. It looks like a gamejam idea, nothing original, really mediocre, like a 5/10.
This game is overrated and overpriced. Gameplay is uninteresting and never really changes; the environments are bland and boring; abilities and skills don't seem to have a great deal of impact; the feeling of progress is non-existent, and the graphics are dull to match. If you want titles similar to this but ones far more dynamic and with character you could try: Astro Aqua-Kitty, Cryptark or Pixeljunk Shooter.
Looks pretty to start with, nice controls, but gets samey very quickly. No map, you're not sure where the next area is so there's lots of flying around looking for the right tunnel to go down. Basically things have moved on a lot in the last ten years, indie game-wise. It's a bit of a shame as I like the aesthetics but there's not much to it. Surprised how may 'very positive' reviews there are as it's just 'OK' for a twin-stick shooter. I can't recommend it when there are so many other decent shooters out there, so this is for those who have exhausted all the excellent ones.
Shamus Young was a role model and inspiration for me.
Fun. Beat it on my first run in ~5 hours but that includes a long break in the middle, lol.
RIP Shamus Young. However I feel his kids are desecrating his legacy, so don't buy this.
The author was apparently disappointed with the kind of play that players felt pushed into, but I have to say, this game pushed a lot of the right buttons for me. It was a labor of love, and it's not expensive, so I say if you like this style of shooty-shooty, then go for it!
