I just played Motorsport Manager eventhough not being a car fan, and then I saw this game, which I thought would be amazing as well. Was I mistaken. I'll keep it very simple because I also don't want to waste too much time in this review. -UI: horrible. -Fights: Very boring and dull. It's not realistic, but not arcade enough either + nothing happens really. -Tooltips: Cryptic. -Tutorial: nope. -Content: Having not even played it for an hour I already felt like there's very little content and it's hidden behind the fact that at the start there's no tutorial so you don't understand what's going much. All in all, I'm refunding while I still can, cause this game is the most dissapointing buy since I bought "The Stomping lands" or whatever it was called.
ES MALÍSIMO. MUY MUY MUY MUY MUY MUY MUY MALO.
Despite the very poor 3D graphics and the very frustrating UI, I was able to play it starting from League 7 until the game kept crashing on my way to being promoted to League 3. I'm guessing the program generates random fighters by caliber every year and adds on to it's own database until it doesn't know what the ♥♥♥♥ to do after 2024 in the game. I could have spent my $13 on better games on sale. As a management simulator, it was very addictive and was determined to reach League 1 and win all the trophies, but it's a really bad predicament knowing the game won't even boot up for the next season.
MMA Team Manager offers lots and fails to deliver, mostly. It has potential but some odd design choices and a pretty poor UI leave you feeling too far from the exciting elements of MMA. Full disclaimer i received this game free Here is my first look video if you want to see some gameplay https://youtu.be/7OZXmyOYyvY So sports management games are often the games I have the most fun with, being crystal clear I am a football fan primarily, but I have watched MMA for a few years on and off, unfortunately its on way to late in the UK to really follow too closely. Any way MMA team manager could be a good game. It’s another one of those games that’s a niche genre. This allows it to get away with some short fallings, mainly because fans will get behind it and there isn’t any competition. Disappointingly the short fallings are too great to bridge the gap for the rest of us. By far the biggest issue of this game is the UI, some of the strangest choices have been made with the selection for fighters and reviewing information. I would urge the developer to take a look at the other database games to learn from them Football Manager is the obvious example, but out of the park baseball might also offer some help. Next and possibly the biggest issue for me is the way this game does its best to deprive you of excitement. Firstly the decision to not animate the ground game is a very odd one. I understand it would be tough, but it feels like it was more a cannot be bothered decision. But removing this from the game means you miss the tension of the ground struggle, you miss the will my fighter submit or can he slip out of guard or counter. Additionally, the fight being over when stamina reaches zero means you miss any kind of excitement of a knock out. Last time I watched these two things were the most exciting things in combat sports!!! I urge the developer to make the effort to add some excitement. The sound is pretty awful, the crowd noise is awful and the music repetitive with no option to turn it down. Thankfully you can turn it off. I encountered a few bugs with names and text and the fighter falling through the canvas. Is this game worth the price? No. Is it worth your time? Not really….. but…… I believe it could be if the devs actually took some time to improve and learn from the feedback the reviews are already giving. I will update the review once i have played more
keep updating it the more popular mma gets the more intrest in the game would be cool if you added the ground game animations and view of knockouts and submissions
ENGLISH version at the bottom
FRANCAIS
Note : 16/20 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
ENGLISH
Great fighting sport management game. A little hard to take in hand, everything is arranged after a few hours of play. And then, it's the awesome enjoying ... I could not stop playing. Without being a big fan of fighting sports, I've always loved watching TV games. And here I find myself at the head of an army of fighters, ready to fight each with his own specialties (standing strikes and ground struggles). 3D animation is acceptable and allows to live the fighting with its suspense and surprises. It is true that some signs of marks (blood, bruises, ... etc.) on the faces / bodies of the fighters would be at most and somes cinematics for Knock-Out. It is true that the menus are a little messy, but we end up finding it. I GREATLY RECOMMEND, so do not hesitate. Rating: 16/20
Awful UI
