i love how the goblins are designed so far and the loading time is so quick. This game has some protenual and some time for it to grow and develop
Quite lovely hard(Seems to be always at gasp of starving , Fishing support quite many goblins especially with smoking)? colony sim. Love the farming that cant just grow stuff everywhere. Still EA but already very playable and enjoyable. Research is quite slow and cant really yet boost it? Maybe planned that there are some items that can craft and get more RP points other then just boosting your tree every Summer. Maybe missed something or is not done yet but stone vs "wooden board" roads seem to give the same speed buff and fix the mud slowdown? Would love some way to be able to double click to select multiple trees of same type. As would cut all the Pines etc and leave the trees that have some secondary gathering resource alone. Maybe filter to clean flora tool? Cut trees tool with filter? Not sure maybe some alarm system would be nice? Or some kind of grouping of the "drafted" goblins and then they attack. could be annoying if few birds attack and eat to whole field before could muster but something to think about? Like situation was I had expanded quite bit and working on both sides of the map and enemies come from one side its quite easy that few Goblins close to enemies charge head into them and then the other goblins run slowly to battle. Not bad at start but more advanced enemies could actually harm my goblins,
Great game! Way more detalied than first thought. Keep it up!
A damn solid city builder game, it has some elements that i did not expect to be this fleshed out and impressive for an indie game which is really nice to see. Here are some examples: - The goblins can decide on their own that if they need wood they chop it down close to the building that needs the material and then drag it the minimum distance. - The fields for food has a slider to set how much you want to plant for seed and how much for food each year. - The sacrifice mechanic makes it rewarding to craft certain items and lets you decide how much you want to progress each year in tech making it rewarding to do good and expand your camp. And many more small things add upp to make a realy good game. Also unlike some other similar games there are some game design decisions made to automate a lot of the nonsense decisions you have to make for the camp which just games it flow so much better then other games. Cudos to the devs for focusing on that.
This game has potential + I really love how they have attached Finnish mythology and history here. But I cannot recommend this game at this state as I am writing here. It has a lot of small inconvenient bugs like: - Goblins can get stuck and there is no way you can unstuck them - Other buildings and items might block the access to a building making it obsolete. Removing items / buildings doesn't help. - Fog of War doesn't remove even though you have cleared the fauna Also many neat features falls short: - Using Väki is an incredible idea and I love that in early Populous games. In this game, using Väki is just boring and it is more like "nice to have" - Technology tree is unbalanced it takes forever to regain technology points - The game mentions that Goblins are smart so you don't need to micromanage them. However, when it comes to food, it seems that they are so lost how to get food, if you don't especially allocate them to gather resources - There's technically nothing to do than just waiting after you have built something. - Ruins are boring and repetitive. - Individual Goblins cannot be 'forced' to do a certain tasks meaning you might have a expert fisher today, but a novice fisher tomorrow, also the prioritization system is confusing - In-game help is missing and tool tip panels are not sufficient - In-game bug report is missing (no way I am joining your Discord or sending you an email)
Good goblins!
Great Game!
Another finnish game, and this one is a crusader-style city builder! Started my second camp, after getting grips with the first, got along fine, then the first sacrifical bonfire was to happen! Got that thing done in less than third of the month, sat on it, no problem. Summer rolled around, bonfire was lit! except that it caught the grass near the bonfire on fire. Which burned the huts near it So asked my shaman to summon water, little did i realize, pooled water would sweep away buildings. So i asked my shaman to level the ground, causing the water to spread more and sweep away more buildings. result: Half of my village was washed by the waters of my own making, while a couple more huts are on fire. 10/10, would make a new camp.
It's Banished without micro management and with cute wonder. Need a building built? All required resources are selected for cutting, queued for crafting and workers assigned. I love this.
