Glimmer in Mirror

For version 0.6.11.0001: While still in early access, Glimmer in Mirror is already worth your time. Pro: - It has a very pretty look and feel to it. - Interesting story - Not too complicated mechanics Cons: - Combat does feel a bit too simple until later in the game. - While is is a Metroidvania, there is not that much exploring to be had (yet), but looking at the current map and some of the secrets I found there is some decent potential. - Some parts that are not translated yet (the elevator near the end confused me a bit at first, but not game-breaking) Took me about 10 hours to complete this version as a casual player on normal. Looking forward to the full release.

Overall, the game has a great base, music, and art, while the combat still feels a little lacking. I can't stress enough how enjoyable the experience still was regardless of that, since most of the game is exploring. I think my only two real complaints are the lack of a dash, and a better double jump. The current second jump can only barely get you to where you need to, and it's very difficult to dodge attacks in fights, especially bosses, while having such little mobility. Again, overall, a great time, and I can't wait to see the rest of the game, I just think the combat could use some refinement. Most bosses are just spamming and hoping you have enough health to outlast them. The basic attack could probably be fixed with either a max fire rate and a fix to the auto-aim, or adding in some sort of damage increases like the health and meter. The arrow attack should also charge a little faster, as I immediately forgot about it.
