Generation Zero is a visually striking open-world shooter set in an alternate 1980s Sweden, where hostile machines patrol the countryside. The atmosphere is easily its strongest element; quiet forests, abandoned settlements, and constant tension from unseen threats create a unique survival-horror feel. Combat against the machines can be satisfying when it clicks, especially in co-op, where coordination adds a lot to the experience. However, progression can feel slow, and the early game in particular may come across as repetitive or underwhelming until better gear and tactics are unlocked. The game shines most when played with friends and approached as a slow-burn exploration and resistance simulator rather than a fast-paced shooter. Recommended with reservations.
I originally played Generation Zero when it first launched on Xbox, and while I enjoyed it back then, it had been years since I last jumped into the game. Coming back to it on PC has been a fantastic experience. The amount of content, improvements, and updates added over the years is impressive. The world feels more alive, there's so much more to do, and the gameplay is better than ever. It's clear the developers have continued to support and improve the game rather than abandon it. What stands out most is how well Generation Zero still holds up today. In my opinion, it outshines many modern releases. The atmosphere, exploration, combat, and sense of discovery are all incredibly engaging, whether you're playing solo or teaming up with friends in co-op. If you're looking for an open-world survival shooter with a unique setting, challenging enemies, and plenty of content, this is a game that shouldn't be overlooked. I'm glad I decided to return to it, and honestly, I wish I'd come back sooner.
Great game, I have been playing it since the early access. The only downside is that I don't have a lot of friends that want to play this with me. Because the game is best enjoyed with more than 1 player. Oh yeah.. and it spooked me on multiple occasions.
si te gustan los survival y estas cansad@ de los zombies y personas, este juego es una buena opcion recomedadisimo pa
