Reviews
Leaving a positive review to counter the dweebs who think review tanking is the way to go because the devs made a mistake (to a lot of people) with a new update. The devs have already addressed the changes and will be fixing/reverting. Stop trying to ruin an indie game/company's rep, especially during a summer sale where people are going to look at this. Game is easily worth 15 dollars. Smooth movement, fun gunplay, diverse enough builds. Give it a shot. In the world where friendslop gets a lot of attention and market power, this game is refreshing. If you like games like Gunfire Reborn or Deep Rock Galactic, get yourself and a couple friends together and fill up on some BRINE
Well the game was great up to the 1.2 update but with the release of 1.3 basically ruining the soulwheel, relocking my already unlocked items for completing achievements and my dlc items that I already purchased, on top adding no new sense of progression, I would recommend you wait to purchase this game until a better update releases or spend your $25 elsewhere. It pains me to say that because I loved playing this game with my girlfriend but it has fallen far from my expectations.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

- take DOOM - make it 4 player co-op roguelike - add a huge perk tree - add optional, fun modifiers to runs that you can change whenever you want - add crazy upgrades during runs that all feel impactful ... and you have this game 10/10
Speaking from the perspective of somebody who did not own this game until 1.3, I am having an absolute blast. Looks like some people had issues with the update and that is the reason for the recent mixed reviews If you enjoy roguelite games and are on the fence, just get it. The game is incredibly fun and you can make some absolutely ridiculous builds. Blessings in the game provide a lot of depth and weapons are differentiated enough to all feel different and make you play different. My time played speaks for itself, I've had the game for 4 days and have 20+ hours. game good

At the moment I can not recommend this game because the (boss) AI has no logic. Always tracks one player and the rest of the team isn't targetted. For a multiplayer game it's a big oversight. AI should periodically re-target, with logic to prevent changing target in the middle of a charged move targeting player A but then executing player B. (I'll change my review if/when this issue gets resolved.)
Fantastic gun design and environments, this game is just fun.
Solid game. It's like if DOOM Eternal was a roguelite. The guns are excellent, the action is fast paced. The bossfights are more of a mixed bag, some are good but some are kind of annoying as they spam a ton of effects everywhere. This leads to me attempting to stat-check them a lot instead of engaging with the mechanics. I've had a blast over these 30 hours and I expect to get around 20 more out of the game before I get bored. I already consider that good value for the 15 euros I paid. However I could easily play way more if the developers add more alternate stages and add some special interactions between different blessings. Right now it feels like you really want to go all-in on a single blessing as your damage option, and then the other two blessings are there to support with minimal investment. This has led to me taking Shadow and Frost a lot more than anything else, because those two excel at providing the utility to compliment whatever my main damage blessing is. I think something like Hades' combo boon system would go a long way toward incentivizing more variety. Edit: I'm disappointed they removed some of the depth from the game. Instead of choosing which meta-progression perks you will use, you now get to use them all. I enjoyed tailoring my perk loadout to suit the build I was aiming for, now that avenue for decision making is gone and players get to be significantly more powerful, making the game easier. Apparently this was how it worked before, and them reverting it is a response to review bombing of angry players. Well I think they devs had the right idea, and it's unfortunate they were forced to make their game worse because a few players couldn't handle having their power level slightly reduced in the name of improving the game in the long run. I'd still recommend the game overall but I've personally lost interest for now.
A lot of recent negative reviews are upset at the skill tree rework, however the developers have announced they're working on completely reverting the controversial changes based on community feedback. Kudos to them for understanding what ultimately matters when making this type of game (it being FUN), and being willing to walk back decisions that ended up being misses instead of doubling down. Game's good, try it out.
[strike] Isn't it great when developers nerf all of the fun out of their PvE game? The new soul wheel skill tree is a downgrade in every way. [/strike] The devs listened and are fixing this!
