Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1/day in the week to Aug 14 → 2.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I ked je nutne uznat kredity i studiu The Coalition, ktore v tomto s nimi takpovediac "kolaborovalo" a priniesli "Full GoW experience" len v taktickom mode. I vdaka tomu mame prepracovanu hratelnost a typicky masaker gameplay, ktory ku serii uz akosi patri. Opat tam mate skvely vyber "NFL" drsnakov s hustymi hlaskami a samozrejme opat ide o zachranu sveta (i ked technicky uz vlastne neni o co bojovat) taktiez potesi rozsirene lore ohladom zrodu nepriatela a taktiez tie sracky naokolo, ktorych sa dopostil COG. A ano, kto by to este dnes uveril, ze Unreal engine slape dobre, ze?? :D Soundtrack k hre skomponoval akysi Edward Patrick White (Codebreaker, Bear Grylls: Mission Survive) cize nizkorozpoctovby skladatel, ktory urobil slusnu pracu v ramci budgetu, budiz mu slava... :) + Pribeh (prequel) rozsirujuci lore Gears of War + hraje sa to ako XCOM (takze si to zaratajte ku kladom, ak ste nadsenci daneho zanru) + Slusna herna doba a nadherny vizual, ktory dokazal vykuzlit odchadzajuci Unreal Engine 4 - AI nepriatelov by chcela vylepsit, s cim suvisi i zasekavanie tahov enemakov a postup hrou treba obcas restartovat od checkpointu - Opakujuce sa nepovinne misie, ktore su podmienku posunu v pribehu - Co este.... hmm, asi ze chyba tam romantika?? Verdikt: 8/10 = Pre nadsencov do znacky Gear of War je to proste povinnost.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 23: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

6/10 +It looks great, feels good for a trpg. + tons of skills to play with. Storydriven, railroaded missions. - loot is very bare bones, you find something you put it on. no selling, modding, trading. -Charater restriction for missions. Why is it there? who knows.Sure is annoying tho. -Need xbox account + intro video is looks like ad for the game and lootboxes. Personally i rather play wasteland3/hardwest2/xcom.
An okay entry to the Gears Series. I like the customization and wish they would bring it to the core games.
Initially after playing 4 hours i had a positive review, got exited seeing how story has potential with cut-scenes and unique missions but it stops there, after that the 4 missions are repeating over and over, the 'chance of hit' is one not to trust for some reason, the story.....there is no story anymore, you rescue gears, hold position and collect boxes, and repeat, and repeat and repeat, upgrading specific gears so after a mission they are 'TRAVELLING' so you get forced to play with complete randoms. They put all the game in the first 3-4 hours and copy paste it. shame
Gears Tactics marks a bold and successful departure from the traditional third-person shooter format that the Gears of War franchise is known for, embracing turn-based strategy with a fresh and invigorating approach. Developed by Splash Damage in collaboration with The Coalition, this tactical game deftly combines the gritty, intense atmosphere of the Gears universe with deep, thoughtful strategy gameplay, delivering an experience that feels both familiar and refreshingly new to fans and newcomers alike. It manages to capture the essence of Gears’ brutal combat and storytelling while reinventing its mechanics into a rich, tactical challenge. At the heart of Gears Tactics lies a meticulously crafted turn-based combat system that balances complexity with accessibility. Players command a squad of soldiers through grid-based maps, utilizing cover, positioning, and an array of abilities to outmaneuver the relentless Locust Horde. The game rewards strategic thinking and careful planning—flanking enemies, coordinating attacks, and managing cooldowns are all critical to success. What sets Gears Tactics apart from other tactical games is its emphasis on aggression and momentum; the combat encourages players to be bold, pushing forward and taking calculated risks, rather than merely turtling behind cover. This dynamic pacing injects adrenaline into every turn and keeps players constantly engaged. Character progression and customization add significant depth to the gameplay. Each squad member can be specialized into unique classes like the versatile Vanguard, the explosive Heavy, or the tactical Sniper, each with distinct abilities and upgrade paths. The skill trees offer meaningful choices that let players tailor their team to their preferred playstyle. Additionally, gear and weapon customization play a vital role, with loot dropped after missions that can be equipped or upgraded to enhance combat effectiveness. This RPG-like progression system adds a compelling layer of strategy and personalization, motivating players to experiment and optimize their squad composition for different mission challenges. Narratively, Gears Tactics delivers a compelling prequel story set years before the events of the main Gears of War series. The game follows Gabe Diaz, a hardened soldier leading a desperate fight against the Locust invasion. The writing is strong, with well-developed characters and emotional stakes that deepen the player’s investment in the campaign. Cutscenes and voice acting are high quality, effectively conveying the grim, war-torn world and the resilience of humanity. While the story may lean into familiar war and revenge tropes, it is executed with sincerity and provides ample motivation to push through challenging missions. Visually, Gears Tactics maintains the franchise’s signature gritty and visceral aesthetic, with detailed character models, atmospheric lighting, and destructible environments that enhance tactical considerations. The animations and effects—gunfire, explosions, and brutal melee attacks—are satisfying and help maintain the intensity of combat despite the turn-based pace. The UI is clean and intuitive, providing players with the necessary information and tools without cluttering the screen. Audio design also excels, with a powerful soundtrack and impactful sound effects that immerse players in the battlefield’s tension. Despite its many strengths, Gears Tactics can occasionally feel punishing, especially on higher difficulty settings where enemy AI becomes highly aggressive and tactical mistakes are severely punished. The learning curve might deter some players new to turn-based strategy, but the game offers adjustable difficulty options and a tutorial that eases newcomers into its systems. Mission variety is generally good, though some objectives can feel repetitive, mostly revolving around elimination or defense tasks. However, the strong core gameplay loop and narrative momentum usually keep the experience engaging. In conclusion, Gears Tactics is an impressive and thoughtfully crafted strategy game that successfully adapts the high-octane action and dark storytelling of the Gears of War universe into a turn-based format. Its blend of fast-paced tactical combat, robust character progression, and immersive narrative make it a standout in the tactical RPG genre. Whether you’re a longtime Gears fan looking for a new way to experience the lore or a strategy enthusiast seeking a challenging and rewarding tactical game, Gears Tactics offers a satisfying and memorable journey through a brutal world on the brink of annihilation.
