Very cool game about exploration and puzzles. The puzzles are varied and pretty fun. There is lots to discover.
A nice game with interesting puzzles, lots of discoveries, crazy-cool story, stylish humour, cute graphics, great sounds and much fun! The concept is unusual and creates quite unique gameplay. Totally didn't expect to get into it this much. Got a bit lazy and ended up looking up hints online after 6 hours, to finish off all the endings, though. P.S. Hat. All the hats.
This is a very underrated gem of a game. It's actually pretty cool, and deserves more appreciation. You play as 14-year-old Sean, who by chance lives in a town... that's about to be destroyed by a falling meteorite. With the one and only road out of town destroyed by a fragment of the meteor, Sean is stuck. ...However, in the classic "Groundhog's Day" trope, Sean keeps re-living the 12 minutes before the meteorite crash. With 15 possible endings, it's up to you to piece together the secrets of the town, and find a way to save Sean (and preferably his crush, Laura, too). I won't lie, this game doesn't joke around with the puzzles. You have to really pay attention to the environment, looking for anything that seems odd. You may need to think outside the box to figure out things like passwords. Fortunately, Sean remembers clues, which you can bring up at any time. Additionally, as a time-saver, once you've completed certain objectives once, upon re-starting a loop, the game offers to let you auto-complete that objective instantly, in exchange for a little time off the 12-minute time limit. I'd love to go on in more detail, but honestly, it'd be going into spoiler territory, which would just kill the fun for you. Suffice to say: For it's price of $3, or if you like thinking games, then yes, I'd definitely recommend trying this game.
1 e 2
) puxam para um lado mais sério.
"Featuring fun, logical puzzles that aren't too difficult to do, some whimsical humor and a time limit to keep you on your toes, Future Proof puts you into the shoes of a middle schooler named Sean, who is trapped in his town and is about to be incinerated by a meteor. The thing is though, he has the power to turn back time every time he dies..." In the point-and-click adventure, Future Proof, you play as a middle school kid called Sean who happens to have some time-warping powers which allows him to go back in time (for exactly 12 minutes) whenever he dies. This power comes in handy because Sean's town of Greensvale is about to be hit by a meteor the size of a football stadium, and unfortunately for him, he and a couple more people were accidentally left behind during the evacuation, and the only road to escape from the town was destroyed by a fragment from the meteor. So, what can you do to either help Sean escape from town or save everyone else who's trapped along with him from the meteor entirely? This is what you'll be able to find out as you play each of Sean's "loops" (or as I like to call them time turnbacks).
Gameplay
Being a point-and-click adventure, you'll basically need to explore the town and pick stuff up as you go along. Note that everything that you can pick up (highlighted in yellow) will be used sooner or later, depending on the narrative path you're on. The game has plenty of endings for you to discover as you try to find a way to save Sean and, possibly, the entire town from destruction. So far, I'm really enjoying the puzzles in the game. They are quite straightforward in a logical kind of way and all you need to do is to be able to link up several interconnected items based on common sense. One example of a "puzzle" that requires you to explore neighboring homes for a
plunger
just so you can
unclog the toilet in another house in order to get the Toilet Key
. Like I said, the puzzles that I've encountered so far are really straightforward :) Will definitely be adding more stuff here as I play more loops of the game. Basically Donnie Darko meets Earthbound, with plenty of clever puzzles and multiple routes. A joy for us, 90s nostalgic. It is really a shame that such a gem has not received more attention...
Surprised to see so few reviews. This game is fun and quirky, definitely worth the price. Filled with charm.
This was a fun and detailed exploration/mystery/puzzle game. Neat story, cute art. (It only took about 8 hours of actual playtime to complete.)
Fun and clever puzzles.
Great game. Cool design and fun to complete
