For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I was ready to like this game until I experienced a no counter play situation. A fire started in the door control room, so I immediately sent someone to respond to put it out. The crew member, who was full health, proceeded to die from the 1 cell block of fire before putting it out. So I sent someone else and the same thing happened. Normally, you'd be able to vent the ship by opening doors to outer space, but because the door control room had the fire, you can't do that! Literally nothing you can do but lose, absolute garbage.
You will hate yourself for buying it. Only reason I keep playing is because I already hate myself in the first place. This is sometimes very rarely maybe fun once in a while possibly if your idea of fun is dragging your genitals through broken glass and lit coals. If you are having fun the RNG will do everything it can to destroy that fun if you don't believe me go ahead and buy it.
Было много проведено времени до покупки. Лучшая и единственная игра в своем жанре. А когда открываешь для себя мод мультиверс, то углубляешься еще больше.
Not so fun. Repetitive encounters with no real need for any strategy. You keep hitting Ammo and Shield compartments.. there isn't much depth to the game. Gets very boring once you finish it for the first time.. uninstalled it at 40 hours i don't think i will ever install again.. Not much replay value in it.
tl;dr A fascinatingly complex and original type of roguelite game that is well worth the time and money. Definitely give it a try, especially if you’re a fan of strategy gameplay.
Full Review
I had some vague awareness that FTL existed, but it was only after one of my friends mentioned playing it that I decided to try the game out myself. That decision snowballed into me, my wife, and most of our friend group becoming obsessed with the game for a few months! Needless to say, it is a really good game! But I shall explain why anyway, since that’s what a good review should do! Gameplay: FTL is an interesting blend of rogue elements and strategic decision-making. You guide a spaceship, outfitted with various systems, weaponry, and crewmembers, through eight galaxies in your quest to stop the Rebel fleet. Each galaxy is a randomly-generated bunch of various coordinate points, each of which containing some unknown encounter. Rather than freely flying your ship, you select nearby points on your map to travel to, and then proceed to resolve any events found there. Most commonly, you’ll enter combat with another ship upon arriving to a new location. This is where the game really shines! There are a variety of spaceship weapons and other utilities to help you neutralize any threats, and they all come with their strengths and weaknesses. This is made even more engaging through the fact that every spaceship, your own and others, has various systems it needs to keep protected. Furthermore, your ship’s crew don’t just exist as a name or integer – each member is physically present in your ship, and depending on their placement, they can help keep things running…or end up succumbing to damages such as fire or low oxygen. This all probably sounds pretty complex, and it is! There is certainly a learning curve. But after some field experience, one can quickly get a feel for what choices and strategies are more effective than others. There’s also a tutorial that helps for understanding button shortcuts and mechanics. If nothing else, remember that you can press space to pause all the real-time combat at any point so you can plan properly! While traversing the galaxies, you’ll also regularly find non-combat events, typically featuring multiple options for resolution. Learning how to handle each of these scenarios favorably is a massive boon, although it may take a bit of luck. Depending on who or what you have on your ship, you’ll sometimes be provided with additional options in blue text; these indicate that you have something specialized to handle this event, which often means a guaranteed good outcome. These events serve well to prevent getting exhausted with constant combat, while also still rewarding clever and/or well-prepared players. They also give plenty of insight into the universe this game is set in. Speaking of… Story: On its surface, FTL has a simple, straightforward story: your ship is part of the Federation, an intergalactic organization which is currently at war with the Rebels. Your ship in particular carries valuable information that could turn the tides of war, and you must traverse the galaxies in order to rejoin your fleet and inform them. While there aren’t really any named consistent characters, there are a number of factions found throughout these space worlds, and your interactions with them give a more interesting window into what this game’s worldbuilding is. The Rebels, for example, appear to be human supremacists; the game never states this outright, but in a universe filled with various alien races, their ships are noticeably only ever piloted and maintained by an all-human crew. The Mantis are an insectoid alien species that revels in glory through combat, and their ships are often found actively hunting other poor space travelers down as sport. In contrast are the Engi, a peaceful race of what appears to be biomechanical people who are proficient in advanced technology. These and many other traits appear consistently throughout the game, showing that even without a structured story, there was a lot of thought put into this game’s writing! Visuals: FTLs artistic direction is oozing with style. The greatest example of this is the spaceships, many of which unique designs that help distinguish themselves from other science fiction. Notably, each faction has their own style of ship, which both helps for recognizing who you’re dealing with as well as making combat encounters more refreshing with a variety of foes. Similar to the worldbuilding, the many little details in things such as the ship designs, weapon animations, and even how the little crewmembers move around, shows that somebody put a lot of effort into making these. I particularly like the explosion animation for a destroyed enemy ship; it is very satisfying! Music: The soundtrack fits the mood of this game so smoothly! While outside of danger, you’ll be treated to various space-sounding ambience depending on what galaxy you’re in. Safer galaxies have comfortable, more upbeat tracks, while the more remote or hostile galaxies have ominous ones. Upon entering combat, the ambience seamlessly transitions into a more urgent, steady beat, still also based on the galaxy. I’m a sucker for dynamic soundtracks, and FTL does it so perfectly! I also have to give some recognition to the soundtrack for the final battle, which, for lack of a better description, has great swagger and absolutely fits the fights it plays in! Replay Value: Being a roguelite, FTL of course is intended to be played many times over, with each run differing from the rest. Additional unlockable ships and loadouts help to diversify playthroughs and strategies as well. I got every Steam achievement in under 100 hours, but there is plenty more to do with this game beyond that, especially considering that the Hard difficulty is entirely optional for achievement hunting. In conclusion, FTL is a well-designed gem of a roguelite, likely being the first of its kind. It is certainly worth checking out, even over a decade later!
THE best roguelike spaceship game available. Stop reading this and get it!!!
The multiverse mod adds so much it feels like a second game, highly reccomend picking it up if you havent in a while :)
FTL is a roguelike RTS (with a very useful pause function that you should be using often to avoid making irreversible mistakes) that, on the surface looks simple enough but can be really challenging most of the time. Artstyle is good (shoutout to the awesome looking background art), the music never goes stale and the gameplay loop is fun. The game is highly replayable, has a tonne of unlockable ships with various layouts and loadouts to unlock and a multitude of strategies work to get through the game. There's also secrets to uncover and the story text (which most people don't bother reading) can be both useful and entertaining to read at times. I've had a tonne of fun playing this game, but also a lot of frustration from unfortunate RNG situations where I've lost countless runs to bad RNG. Yes, this is the one gripe I have with the game. It is heavily decided by RNG rolls, leading to a lot of frustration. For those of you interested in 100% completion, most of the achievements are naturally obtained just by playing the game and unlocking ships or doing various things as you play. However, the game is very challenging as a baseline so some of the achievements can be tricky to do, don't always expect to survive the run (or win it) while doing specific achievements. One of them is also entirely RNG based, so if you're unlucky like me, that's gonna be a few hours of pure annoyance, to say the least.. With that in mind, there are achievement guides out there to follow for a slightly easier completion, but it is not recommended as a completion game. If you want to just kick back and have some fun though, it's worth it, especially for the price tag (as of writing this 9,99 euro) as you can easily rack up your playtime to above 100 hours and beyond.
