About
Since the premiere, Frostpunk has been enriched with a number of updates. You can enjoy the new Endless Mode that increases the replayability of the game. There is also a new scenario - The Fall of Winterhome, that further expands the game’s universe and lore. And as a final treat, we’ve added things like naming characters and automatons and a photo mode. All of this is available for free for all the owners of the game. There are also three expansions, available with the paid Season Pass.
Although we are no longer planning further development for the original version of Frostpunk, the possibility of reliving the founding story of New London is rising on the horizon. Frostpunk 1886 will be a reimagination of the original game - remade entirely in Unreal Engine and enriched with new content.
It will combine 70% of the original experience with 30% brand-new material, offering fresh ways to shape your society for seasoned veterans, while also serving as a great entry point to the franchise for newcomers.
We’re committed to launching the game in 2027. As the date approaches, you can expect more exciting updates, a first look at gameplay, and behind-the-scenes content, so be sure to wishlist it and follow our social media channels to be the first to know about future updates!

Frostpunk is a society survival game where heat means life and every decision comes at a price. In an entirely frozen world, people develop steam-powered technology to oppose the overwhelming cold. You face the task of building the last city on Earth and securing the means necessary for your community to survive.
Optimization and resource management often clash with empathy and thoughtful decision-making. While city and society management will consume most of the ruler’s time, at some point exploration of the outside world is necessary to understand its history and present state.
What decisions will you make to ensure the survival of your society? What will you do when pushed to the limit? And who will you become in the process?
Establish laws that regulate the existence of your growing society. Decide on their working routine, healthcare, food provision and other crucial aspects of everyday life. Maintain their hope and contentment – the moral condition of your society is as important as securing the basic means to keep them fed and safe.

If you reach a turning point, do not hesitate to determine the path of your people. Should you rule them with an iron fist... or show them a way of compassion and faith? Reach for extremes or try to find a fair balance. Whichever you choose, remember: there’s no turning back.

Some of your decisions will seem small – like deciding the fate of a troubled citizen or meeting the demands of a newborn faction – but be aware that the sum of your doings can lead to unexpected results. Your people put their faith in you, but their devotion is not limitless. Leadership can be a burden.

Survival demands progress. React to current events, but don’t forget about the long term and investing in development and technological progress. Providing a highly advanced infrastructure with self-powered automatons, airships, and other technical wonders is difficult, but achievable. It all depends on your management and leadership skills.

While New London is your main focus, there is much more to the world than what lies within the limits of your city. Expeditions, while risky, can bring you valuable intel, precious supplies and grow your society’s population. There may be people out there, and their fate lies solely in your hands.

Frostpunk Endless Mode grants you unlimited replayability for the game. Play on 8 various maps, with different terrain, weather conditions and challenges to face. We know that different people look for different experiences and that’s why there are 3 modes to play in Endless Mode. Endurance will be an ultimate test to your building, managing and survival skills in the harshest conditions. Builders, where there is no generator available from the start, which creates a different type of challenge. And last but not least, Serenity which is focused on enjoying the art of building the city itself, without unnecessary pressure.

An excellent survival city builder where carefully written scenarios test your skill in managing the city, expect to fail on the first try, but try again with a better understanding of what the story needs you to do. Really immersive with a great soundtrack.
the game has too much meaning and understanding that it's better this way than not because it can't be otherwise. The value of people and immersion in the atmosphere is maximum, but if you want the maximum, I recommend playing outside in -30 or in a refrigerated chamber. I love nutritional supplements and a clear, simple, but not easy system, but the main thing, in my opinion, is to get into this atmosphere and listen to the fact that 12-hour shifts are terrible and 12 hours of work = death :0. The game is clear, and as I increase the difficulty, it becomes even more interesting to play. If you like diving for a couple of hours in a full freezer, then the game will suit you. As for the possibilities to play, the game is just perfectly optimized and is wonderful with its graphics and music and everything, so almost all builds will be pulled to the limit of normality, but it's clear that not the computers of 2009 on the old pentiums and the build-in of course (see minimum system requirements). Bottom line verdict not a single game has such an atmosphere and beauty of cold and real experience and, so to speak, complete pogrom

Меня как тирана и самодура, интересует: почему нельзя кидать в генератор недовольных и лондонцев?
TL;DR:
A great unforgiving survival city builder. It's a tough love game with relentless and depressing moral dilemmas that will push you to your absolute limits. It will remind you a lot about the grim of being a leader, where you will be defined by the consequences of your choice. You will fail a lot, but you'll get better as soon as you learn more. If you love good challenge, this is a must try. Don't get discouraged if it's too hard at first and don't hesitate to look up a guide or lower the difficulty if it feels too hard to enjoy. Still would recommend playing it with a blind eye. My only regret is not playing it sooner.
Full Review:
I’ve had my eye on Frostpunk since its release, but i always hesitated. The thought of being overwhelmed by complex mechanics and a constant state of emergency terrified me. But i finally decided to bite the bullet and see if i had what it takes. It turns out, i didn't lmao. At least, not for the first few tries (by i mean few i mean a lot). I think Frostpunk perfectly captures the grim reality of leadership. You hold all the power, yet you often feel completely powerless. It’s not about choosing between right or wrong, but deciding which consequences you can live with, and how to give your people hope even when everything feels hopeless. Despite failing repeatedly, somehow it has this addictive feeling that makes you want to go back, that feel of hope you will be better next time. Once i finally beat the main scenario (New Home) it was full of mixed feelings. The relief i felt after holding my breath through the endgame was crazy. Those small moments like gaining your people's trust and appreciation makes all the hard work and overtime worth it. The first time beating this game is an experience i will never forget.
What I Like:

Strategic and Resource management is important: It really forces you to think ahead. Definitely not a relaxing game, but incredibly dynamic.
The Discontent and Hope systems: It will make you genuinely weigh the consequences of every single choice, either for better or for worse.
Graphics and Atmosphere: The weather effects and overall vibe are amazing.
Fantastic Storytelling: The "A New Home" Scenario is great, it makes you emphasize with what these people are going through, great example of the power of human will and what they can do in tough situation like this.
Fun Choices and Tech Trees: Exploring different choices, laws, technologies is highly engaging and kept me experimenting.
Great Progression: Once everything clicks. the game becomes incredibly addictive and satisfying
Great Soundtrack: it fits the atmosphere and the intense of the game perfectly.
My favorite is "The City Must Survive" which made me forget how to breathe.

What I Wish was Better:

Zero Hand Holding: You get tutorials but the learning curve is still deep, you will fail a lot. As someone who is beginner to this genre, it felt challenging at first.
Clunky Camera Controls: Personally, moving camera or buildings around sometimes can feel a bit awkward.
Time Consuming: Understanding the mechanics takes time and precise building placement is important. However, if you already play this kind of game i don't think it will be a problem.
A bit visual clutter(?): Once you build a lot of steam hubs, the thick smoke coming out of it makes it hard to see. Can't see a damn thing lmao
Right now, i'm still considering between playing hard mode or maybe try endless mode. Regardless of the cons, the game is really great. Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys this type of game. "The frost bit my citizens' hands, but the decisions i made left my heart even colder."
