Frontline: Western Front

Приятная игра пытающаяся развивать традиции серии "Panzer General", только вот уходит в сильные упрощения, уничтожая опыт от тактической составляющей, стратегическая тут отсутствует. Едва ли её можно рекомендовать из-за большого кол-ва недоработок и незначительных багов, игра просто не доделана, но по крайней мере выполнена презентабельно, карты и миньки приятные. (поддержу разработчика монетой, надеюсь в следующих играх будет иначе. В остальном если вы прицелились на нечто подобное то начните с Panzer Corps 1-2) Неприятные стороны: 1. Несмотря на многообразие юнитов, они очень схожи и доступны все сразу, весьма за дешево. Похоже разработчики, хотели сделать упор именно на массовые бои, где потеря даже "крутого" подразделения, не считается чем то ужасным, если оно выполнило свои тактические задачи, но увы это никак толком не выражено. 2. Примитивная работа с авиацией, спрятанная в одну кнопку. Только зенитки блокируют авиоудар, а их почти никогда нет на картах. 3. Ограничение движения кораблей и под.лод., окей если на 1-2 клетки от берега, но чаще вы и на 3-5 не можете подойти и не можете выйти в другие бухты, баражировать вдоль берега. Корабли тут скорее как артиллерийский юнит, водная составляющая рудиментарна. 4. Отсутствие меню с настройками как таковой. 5. Нету режима сложности (меню то нет). В итоге всегда даётся в 3 раза больше очков "снабжения". 6. Не доведенная до ума система снабжения, где всё сосредоточенно в юните, который как бы вне зависимости от ситуации восстанавливает потери и патроны-горючее, на передовой отряд пополняется так же как в тылу, невероятно упрощая игру и уничтожая тактический замысел множества родов войск. 7. Мелкие недочеты связанные с зависанием полей передвижения, атаки, показателей подсчёта и т.д. 8. Откровенная халтура с SandBox картами и компанией оси, в них нет никаких изменений. 9. Отсутствие общей прогрессии от миссии к миссии.

This game is a nice little tactical turn based strategy in the WW2 setting. The visuals are nice and appealing, unit models are distinguishable. But there is no in game tutorial or explanation of game mechanics which could be very useful because even after playing for some time i still could not understand what some icons and numbers are meant to represent. Also there is no historical description of the units that are in the game and i think that even a couple of lines of text would greatly help to immerse yourself into the game. I found the ui to be not very informative. The music is also nice but it's not very long so it gets repetitive over time but not irritating. The game itself is quite easy and short so maybe adding a little more challenge or a harder difficulty level would benefit it as well as more maps to play on. There are some bugs, like enemy units that are displayed on the map but cannot be attacked or an allied flag displayed when you are playing as axis. But all in all i have enjoyed playing this game and would reccomend it.

Mis à part son prix très attractif, je ne vois pas vraiment ce qui peut aider ce jeu à se démarquer. Pas de manuel, pas d'aviation, pas de campagnes (ce ne sont en fait que 5 scénarios réunis tant bien que mal dans une campagne, contrairement à ce qui est écrit sur la fiche), pas vu de magasin pour acheter de nouvelles unités ou améliorer les existantes, options minimalistes, IA également minimaliste. Devrait être cantonné à la rubrique des jeux sur mobile, pas en pc. Bref, je doute même de sa valeur en tant que wargame de découverte. Vous prenez panzer général en freeware (panzer general forever), vous en aurez bien davantage, c'est dire ... Un peu dommage, car les compétences bonus d'unités sont bienvenues, de même que les QG, lesquels servent au ravitaillement et renforts, et sont une bonne idée de par leur rayon d'action. Quant aux graphismes, on ne peut pas dire que ce soit terriblement moche non plus, mais bon, c'est loin d'être suffisant pour monter significativement le niveau.

I'm not a wargamer or a WWI history buff, but I am interested in turn based games and the WWII era, so this game is just right for me. Panzer Corp 2 or Order of Battle, it is not, but more complex than the Tank Battle series by Hex War. It's very dun, but there are some glaring errors that are not quite annoying enough to stop playing, but almost. Fix the following and you have a great game worth paying twice as much for. As is, it's still good, cheap fun. Loss estimates should take supporting artillery into account. Rest button to make "next" button easier to use. Multiple saves with auto save every turn. Only one save is ridiculous. Option to have hexes on map. More distinct color for range of weapons. Turn counter resets seemingly randomly. Normal difficulty still very easy (perhaps because of turn counter). I will recommend, but only for a casual gamer such as myself. If you are a Panzer Corp fan, best to skip it.

Great game but can only play the first scenario with the Allies and with the Germans in sandbox - cant seem to move onwards

So this an entry level game for strategy gamers and a great game to start, it has wonderful graphics for a turn based strategy game but also a lot of fun you can play two campaigns with the U.S or as the Germans on the western front, and sandbox games along with scenarios that are available as well, there's really not much to it you move beside a enemy unit and one number is his losses versus your losses and if artillery is in range it will support your attacks and vice versus it really is basic but for new gamers to the strategy game world an excellent place to start, and with the price being very affordable and fair I say it's definitely a good game for what it is. 7.5/10
