Great RTS with a ton of replayability and customizability. Has a ton of cool concepts, like artillery and anti air, different types of meta progression including unit variations and different factions and a spaceship that you develop alongside your base and can support you in various ways. I also really appreciate the simplicity and the fact that you simply mine and use your resources, instead of going the Factorio way of endless processing, I really hope this does not change in the future. It clearly is an early access game and it sometimes shows, with small things like buildings Z fighting, units getting unselected, enemies not getting hit while out of bounds or in water and a bunch of other small things, but I've never encountered anything remotely gamebreaking. With the developer adding new content, like the campaign, it's a steal. Looking forward to more content.
I grew up with Command and Conquer, and played a lot of FTL as a young adult. If you combine those two and throw in some tower defense in the mix you get From Glory To Goo. It fuses real well, and I'm super happy to recommend this game. From Glory To Goo has fun mechanics, great design and enthralling atmosphere. The meta progression makes the game even more exciting, and I look forward to exploring more of the mechanics and strategies.
It's a They-Are-Billions-like with some extra elements like a commander character on the field, a support ship in orbit, and a few meta upgrades which follow you from map to map that give it that "just-one-more-run" energy!
The campaign really elevates this game.
this is the only game that has captured the westwood C&C essence in terms of quality and craft
This game is a masterpiece in its genre. An upgraded version of "They are billions" for me personally and in its current state it already feels complete! So imagine, their EA feels more like dedicated free DLCs are coming than thousands of bugfixes and no progress. Honestly, fantastic job with this one devs!
Good Game
Amazing! Still under development but runs great. Scratches the $tarcr/|ft itch, in a single player pause-able format!!!
love it so much I made goo in my trousers, glad I listened to the comments wish it had some dlc or cost a bit more so I could show the dev some more love ♥ what an absolute gem of a game
If you're a fan of strategy games that reward planning over brute force, From Glory To Goo is absolutely worth playing. It offers a refreshing blend of classic real-time strategy with tower defense and survival mechanics, creating a gameplay loop that feels both challenging and addictive. The game does a great job of making every decision matter. Expanding your base, managing resources, and defending against increasingly difficult waves keeps you constantly engaged. There's a satisfying balance between growing your economy and preparing your defenses, and overcoming a tough attack feels genuinely rewarding. Visually, the game has a unique style that stands out, and the atmosphere complements the gameplay well. While there are a few rough edges and a learning curve for new players, the depth and replayability more than make up for it. Overall, From Glory To Goo is a hidden gem for RTS fans. If you enjoy games that challenge your strategic thinking and keep you coming back for "just one more run," this one deserves a spot in your library.
