Very cozy and relaxing to play!
Build and chill on a island, Make friends or enemies with the local population. PET CUTE ANIMALS! 10/10 There are still many bugs which is understandable, as it's still in early access and has a one developer team. But it's still a solid experience. Some of the bugs can even be quite humorous :D I will definitely return to it when new content drops!
TL;DR: If you're looking for a relaxed casual survival experience, give this game a shot! Normally I'm not a huge fan of survival games. They tend to annoy me pretty easily with their "drink water every 2 seconds or die" mechanics, but I found this game to implement these mechanics in a much friendlier manner, resources are abundant and easy to find, food is literally everywhere so it never feels like I HAVE to look for food to not die. Oh and the animals are CUTE AS HECK!! As is expected with early access, I experienced some jank at the time of writing this review, but nothing game breaking, mostly UI related jank. Patches seem to be fixing some of that jank though, so that's a good sign! All in all I really enjoyed my time with this game and I can't wait to see where it goes from here! :)
Granted this game is in early access, but it is in VERY early access. At the moment, I can't recommend. The game lacks tool tips, tutorial or anything else that can tell you how the game works. You can figure out that the e key will interact and so on. But it is going to take you some figuring out to understand basic mechanics. I swim and consume air, even when at the surface. Space bar is both surface and dive and you can't climb out of the water. Left the boat and couldn't climb back on again. Tried cutting down trees and my ax just swings and gets stuck for a moment and the tree takes no damage. The hit box is just difficult to find and on some trees I literally walked around the tree desperately trying to damage it. Trying to build foundations and it wouldn't let me place new foundations and didn't say why. Foundations didn't always snap to any kind of grid so you aren't sure if you are placing it in the right spot. There appears to be two different kinds of foundations but I really couldn't tell what the difference was. The game could be interesting if it wasn't in such an early state of development.
7.5/10 Game isn't half bad if you can take a minute to figure it out and don't expect too much out of it. It's a cute game and has a different feel than most survivals I've played. Has a few small janky issues but with this being as new as it is that's to be expected and with time I think it'll be a great hit. A few of my personal hit/misses are below, but this is my opinion, so be sure to check it out for yourself so you can decide! Can't skip intro (sucks if you want to replay/ start over if you mess up your first world, and it doesn't make too much sense, left me guessing a lot but maybe it'll be explained more as I play?) Simple graphics (Not necessarily bad at all it's a really cute look, but wish there was a little more filler in some areas such as lakes having something at the bottom even if it's just rocks or drift wood, maybe see a fish or two swimming around. Sand could have shells or small starfish/crabs/seaweed, these also could count as food sources and make the game more difficult in the lakes and ocean causing sharks to hunt closer to shore or bears to have fewer fish to eat and get aggressive etc.) Trees are a bit buggy when cut down but no worse than other games that are better polished so not the biggest issue, just something that can be a little frustrating. Berry bushes spawn EVERYWHERE which is actually something that's pretty nice, don't have to sweat to find much food starting out and makes it so you can really relax while playing. Animals are the freaking cutest and makes me supper sad I can't have them all as friends now, I'll just have to try harder to make them trust me! I haven't played incredibly long (like.... 70 minutes) but I'll definitely continue checking in with this game's progress and am supper excited to see it grow! So long post short: Its a game worth checking out if your looking for something easy to play. (Edit- sorry for any spelling mistakes I think to much and stuff comes out jumbled sometimes!)
tree fell on me. rate the game for trying to kill me quick.
Early Access is definitely noticeable, but thankfully mostly because the dev keeps fixing things! This is a very pretty and enjoyable sandbox so far, the game doesn't hold your hand but doesn't punish you either (although I haven't killed an animal so far, so it might and I just don't know). Recommend if you liked The Long Dark but would like to see some green.
It's a simple survival game with a non-violent feel to it. It feels like a simpler, cozy version of The Forest, without the monsters and horror aspect. I think $10 is a fair price for the game and it does scratch that survival itch whilst still remaining easy to pick up. It has certainly improved since launch and has had content added to it. It is single player so this is a game you're going to want to chill on by yourself and take your time without any kind of expectations.
Игра не представляет собой ничего интересного. Унылая анимация, геймплей и просто колхозная подача сюжета. Все работает криво, много жрет ресов компа. Не тратьте деньги, она в сыром виде и не уверен что разраб допилит до конца игру.
