Old but gold. The puzzles aren't very difficult, but when you finally complete them, it gives you great satisfaction. I believe this game conveys very well how children with mental disorders felt and were treated, and how Fran saw things in such a unique and sometimes disconnected way from reality. The first part of the game was simply enchanting in the most terrifying way possible when you compared the normal vision to the distorted vision, which showed everything that happened to the children in asylums when people didn't understand what mental disorders and trauma really were. I LOVED every minigame in this game; the art style change in each one was a bold move, but it didn't seem out of place with the original atmosphere of the game. My only complaint is that in the end they become too attached to fantasy. The concept of Fran being able to distort reality into something happy and beautiful is profound and very important to her character however, in my opinion it seems like they ended up forgetting that. [spoiler]By turning all these fantasies into reality, it ends up removing the weight of the story and why she went to the asylum in the first place, the ending made it look like I was playing a completely different game[/spoiler] But despite all that, I would give anything to play this game again, I love Fran Bow, her sweet and an innocent personality that remains strong even after seeing all these horrors fills my heart with so much love that makes me want to hug her through the screen!!!
