Frameland: A Binary Tale

10/10 für dieses wunderschöne, mit viel Liebe entwickelte Indie-RPG mit toll geschriebenen Charakteren, einer interessanten Story und augenzwinkerndem Humor! Es fühlt sich im Positiven nostalgisch an und erinnert mich an Klassiker wie Final Fantasy, Pokemon und Undertale. + Interessante Story mit mehreren Plottwists + Charmante, glaubwürdige Charaktere + Viel augenzwinkernder, subtiler Humor und Gesellschaftskritik + Wunderschöne Pixel-Art + Sehr guter, passender Soundtrack + Tolles World Building mit vielen Details + Sehr guter Soundtrack + Interaktion mit allen Gegenständen der Spielwelt in Form von Monologen/Dialogen + Gegner immer sichtbar und keine Zufallskämpfe + Abwechslung in Form kleiner Minispiele + Angenehm lineares Leveldesign. dass einen durch den Hauptplot führt - Das Timingsystem in Kämpfen ist gut, jedoch fehlt es an einem klaren Orientierungspunkt, an dem man sich für das Timing orientieren und nachjustieren kann. Mit intuitiven Drücken komme ich meistens gut klar, schade ist es dennoch, da ich dadurch nicht das Gefühl von bewussten Kontrolle oder der Möglichkeit der Verbesserung des Timings habe - Speichern nur an festen Safepoints möglich und nicht immer abschätzbar, wie lange es zum Nächsten dauert. Ist zwar genretypisch, jedoch für eine kurze Runde zwischendurch schwer mit der Zeit zu planen

Short and simple but really pleasant JRPG. The story and characters are both well done and the game doesn't overstay its welcome. I could have used a few more hours but I prefer shorter to longer. Music, graphics, combat, writing were all really good. This was a nice surprise!

10/10! real indie games apparently do still exist! if youre looking for something personal, something thats not polished to death and actually has character, where you can feel that its made by a human being, this is for you. battle system is effin dope!

- Worth multiple playthroughs to discover secrets, treasures, achievments and more - Characters that show growth but stay true to themselves - Customizable Party Battle Dynamics - Grind not necessary but possible if you’re into that (I sometimes am, so - yay) - Nostalgia inducing OST - Environmental storytelling let’s you decide how much you want to learn about the world - You can pet chickens! To accuse Team Frameland of having a fondness for the 90s RPG era would probably be a massive understatement. Classic pixel look, familiar party composition, an easy to adjust to but never dull battle system against hommage paying foes and monsters - all in a steady expanding world accompanied by a dynamic, engaging and at the same time nostalgic original soundtrack. I am reminded of games like „A Link to the past“, „Links awakening“ or „Final Fantasy I“, games I played for hours on end as a kid. Yet, Frameland: A binary Tale is no fan fiction gone computer game. Presenting the very first twist right after the introduction/tutorial into „yet another sword and sorcery universe“ it takes you on an entertaining journey through an original and colorful world. Team Frameland’s love for detail can be found in every other pixel: footprints in the snow, dust clouds when running, amazingly expressive facial expressions of the (main) characters, running gags. and probably more easter eggs than I have found to this date - all these little things ad up to a narrative whose conclusion left me a little bit teared up. I’d definetly recommend to give this game a try but also advise that it will take more than an hour or so to get into the groove of the story. F:ABT takes it’s time introducing the world and the characters, to let you explore and define your personal flavor of skill set ups/ fighting style combos before it leads you deeper into the hive’s core and the secrets hidden deep within Seto Labs and Hammertal.

Frameland is a fantastic game! It's an incredible piece of storytelling, with superbly written characters and fun fighting mechanics. A great weekend game to dive into. If you liked Sea of Stars, you'll love Frameland.

This game has blown my mind. In the beggining it feels like a cute classic RPG but hour after hourt story becomes more deep and meaningful and the end is sublime! As I said the plot is excellent but also music is tremendously good and satisfying. Pixel art is also well done. It lasts around 9 hours so it doesn't get boring at any point during the adventure. Long life to small indie studios and brilliant games like Frameland!

Frameland is a charming indie RPG focusing on the fun parts of the JRPG genre! [list] [*]Combat is tight and engaging with timed mechanics (don't worry, was able to manage with 35+ years) and no requirement for grinding! [*]Plot and dialogues are well-written and you are even able to examine a lot of objects for some extra juice of flavor text! [*]I beat the game in three evening sessions and the optional endgame in two additional evenings. Didn't overstay its welcome and respects my time! [*]Endgame was perfectly designed for me! No spoilers but it reminds me of some old classics. Loved it! [/list] I can only recommend this game if you are tired of 80+ hours JRPGs but want to experience a well-designed one again! Gamer dads rise!

More RPGs should not be afrid of being short. 10 hour Main story, no bloat just as long as needed
