BASED
Totalmente recomendado. <3
Tackling depression and anxiety is a difficult thing to do in any form of media. It's quite often different for everyone. I get what the developer was trying to do here, but the 15 minute experience failed to live up to the expectations given to us. Interact with your environment to overcome challenges and puzzles across 6 levels, each inspired by real life obstacles. - Not really puzzles. It's basically just a hidden object experience for the most part. You need to find a key to get out of rooms. You need to solve a passcode puzzle while avoiding lights... Crank some wheels to burn the sad demon monster thing.. Explore the emotions surround emptiness, anxiety, depression and paranoia. - The first room is really the only room that somewhat accomplished this. You're in a room, but you can't leave until you find the correct key. Most of the keys you find are wrong. Eventually you find a way out. It's a comparison to how depression can leave you feeling like there's no way out. Or how anxiety makes it difficult to venture outside. There are various statements that are made which signify self doubt.. And then you find the key, and move onto the next room. And really, it feels like every room after that tries to convey the emotions that might be felt at the most superficial level possible. It doesn't really hold up with what it is trying to do, which brings the gameplay or lack thereof into focus. Oddly you slide for a bit after you stop moving. Interacting with some things, like pinning the tail on the donkey, doesn't seem to work until you've found there very precise spot to put the tail on. And no, it isn't the butt - even if it ends up on the butt. For the most part you're in rooms that feel distracting from the emotional aspect the game is trying to convey. Interaction with much of anything lacks real relevance. There's one level with a minor bit of platforming that was frustrating because I either jumped too far, too short, or that inevitable slide after movement sent me into the abyss. At $2 I've spent worse, and better ways to utilize my time. This isn't a game that will be for everyone, and I'd even argue that in some way it isn't really a game at all. It's objectively shortcoming for a short showcase on a less than skin deep look at anxiety and depression.
