About
FOUNDRY is a first-person (first-robot?) factory builder with complete creative freedom set in a procedurally generated and infinite voxel world.
Land on an unexplored planet and design a giant automated robot production facility under the watchful direction of your AI friend, Carl. Navigate the complexities of interstellar trade and sell your products through interplanetary trade networks to reach your final goal: galactic industrial domination.

Progress from manual resource extraction to a fully automated and perfectly optimized factory.
Construct towering machinery and snaking networks of conveyor belts and pipes with no limits on where you build.
Explore a vibrant voxel world and sculpt the landscape block by block.
Research new, more advanced technologies to meet the demands of your ever-growing production lines.
Personalize your creation by unlocking decorative items and new color options.
Maintain a complex power system to keep your factory running at top speed.
Work solo or recruit outside contractors in online or LAN co-op multiplayer.
Create an enormous factory complex stretching from deep underground to the planet’s surface and the skies above.

Create a mechanically magnificent factory and a work of industrial art integrating your creation into the environment around you. Set up your machines far below the surface, high in the sky and everywhere in between. Grid-based construction gives you precise control over where and what you build.
Land on an unexplored planet and explore a procedurally generated sandbox. Journey through dense jungles, gigantic mountain ranges, and great plains stretching into the horizon, with even more to discover beneath the surface.

Design intricate systems of conveyor belts, long-distance transport networks, pipes and elevators from deep underground to automate your research. Unlock more advanced, complex and faster technology to optimize your factory and maximize production.
You’ll start by crafting items and harvesting resources manually but will soon find yourself setting up assembly lines piece by piece to devise a system that flows perfectly. Combine form, fit and function to create a smooth setup that effortlessly transforms raw materials into galaxy-grade robot products without you lifting a metallic finger.

Bottlenecks are your enemies. Remember to maintain a delicate balance between inputs and outputs so that productivity reaches its maximum potential, enabling you to progress through an extensive research tree.
Ensure that manufacturing runs at full speed. Keep your power supply well-fed and, as your factory expands, unlock upgraded machinery, advanced power generators and new customization options that will add efficiency and a splash of color to your production lines.
Work solo or collaborate in co-op and engineer creative solutions to complex logistical challenges in a vast voxel world.

Very enjoyable facotory building game. What sets it apart from the others is having to manage the galactic trading, upgrading your space station and also balancing your money as it is also a resource you use to build products with.
It's not bad but it is kinda mid. This game has the same shortfalls many of those factory games have. Too many products that need too many different materials to make. It is very difficult to track where the needed materials are produced because the factory becomes a mess very soon. There is no vertical Conveyor Belt, there is just a basic Splitter which doesn't really help to manage the Spaghetti Belt mess. Not good. I have 1000 hours in Satisfactory, and this game ain't it unfortunately.

They removed the radial menu for placing train tracks. My train setup does not work with the auto placement in the game, and that is now the only option. Game became unplayable overnight. They'll bring it back eventually, but I can't play the game I put 90 hours into over the last 2 weeks until they do. Edit: Trains are officially out now and still no placement wheel. They include the wheel for other systems still, so it baffles me that they removed the most accurate method for placing tracks. I just hit trains on a new save and lost my will to play because the drag system is so inaccurate and clunky. Tracks also delete whatever is in their way still. It sucks that a good game is being held back by a core feature having been intentionally crippled. Edit 2: I made a mod to reenable the wheel. A lot of the tools on offer to make mods don't seem to work with trains yet, so my mod had to circumvent a lot of their limitations. Either way, I won't change my review until they put the wheel back in the base game.
I found this more difficult and tedious than Satisfactory and Dyson Sphere Program. It's great, but still needs some work. But I think if you liked those ones, you'll like this. Runs great on my system. No bugs that I've noticed.
Not a bad game, if not a little basic, very similar to the better Techtonica. Enjoyable as much as Techtonica just simpler. My only real complaint is the helper and narrator takes a while to get used to, could have been more appealing. I also struggle with the belt loader system which could have been more automatic for how you place them... Could have been more aesthetically pleasing, overall, like other automation games.
This game is great! Strongly represents 3D Factorio vs Satisfactory. I see it as high potential to become the best base building/automation game ever! There is a "But" as myself with a friend were able to complete 99% of research within 69 game hours. In contrast, Factorio has 4-5 time more of research (including mods). I'm not saying that it needs to match Faction to research content, but I think it should be at least 2-2.5 times more research. This might be discouraging as thought would be that it might need a huge overhaul, but I don't think that is the case, otherwise I would have given thumbs down. New added research can come like this: ~20% new buildings (new content), ~80% time management / efficiency improvements. Other improvements suggestions: - adding some kind of an "enemy" or nuisance. - adding other assembled parts to fix the space station - maybe add more space stations in other regions and then fix them to be able to sell the product?
A (mostly) intuitive interface combined with an excellently balanced noob learning curve makes for an excellent game of resource management and manufacturing efficiency. It's almost like a second job!
ehhh the whole point of the game is to build stuff and the building dynamics make it really difficult. it would be a cool game if it wasn't absolutely tedious to build stuff
