About
FOUNDRY is a first-person (first-robot?) factory builder with complete creative freedom set in a procedurally generated and infinite voxel world.
Land on an unexplored planet and design a giant automated robot production facility under the watchful direction of your AI friend, Carl. Navigate the complexities of interstellar trade and sell your products through interplanetary trade networks to reach your final goal: galactic industrial domination.

Progress from manual resource extraction to a fully automated and perfectly optimized factory.
Construct towering machinery and snaking networks of conveyor belts and pipes with no limits on where you build.
Explore a vibrant voxel world and sculpt the landscape block by block.
Research new, more advanced technologies to meet the demands of your ever-growing production lines.
Personalize your creation by unlocking decorative items and new color options.
Maintain a complex power system to keep your factory running at top speed.
Work solo or recruit outside contractors in online or LAN co-op multiplayer.
Create an enormous factory complex stretching from deep underground to the planet’s surface and the skies above.

Create a mechanically magnificent factory and a work of industrial art integrating your creation into the environment around you. Set up your machines far below the surface, high in the sky and everywhere in between. Grid-based construction gives you precise control over where and what you build.
Land on an unexplored planet and explore a procedurally generated sandbox. Journey through dense jungles, gigantic mountain ranges, and great plains stretching into the horizon, with even more to discover beneath the surface.

Design intricate systems of conveyor belts, long-distance transport networks, pipes and elevators from deep underground to automate your research. Unlock more advanced, complex and faster technology to optimize your factory and maximize production.
You’ll start by crafting items and harvesting resources manually but will soon find yourself setting up assembly lines piece by piece to devise a system that flows perfectly. Combine form, fit and function to create a smooth setup that effortlessly transforms raw materials into galaxy-grade robot products without you lifting a metallic finger.

Bottlenecks are your enemies. Remember to maintain a delicate balance between inputs and outputs so that productivity reaches its maximum potential, enabling you to progress through an extensive research tree.
Ensure that manufacturing runs at full speed. Keep your power supply well-fed and, as your factory expands, unlock upgraded machinery, advanced power generators and new customization options that will add efficiency and a splash of color to your production lines.
Work solo or collaborate in co-op and engineer creative solutions to complex logistical challenges in a vast voxel world.

At this point I am uncertain about this game. I know I don't like the belt system at all. It's a bit of a learning curve, you are not going to be able to jump right in and have it figured out. You will need to find videos that help explain systems and how to's. I want to like it, It's way worse than Satisfactory in the tutorial and belt system. I know it's supposed to expand an entire galaxy, I just can't get past the start feeling comfortable. As I write this I have to say that there are far better factory games to spend your money on. Skip this one.

The train track and signal system has ruined my play experience. it is entirely too cumbersome and not intuitive at all. there are no clear instructions, all the YT video tend to be 9 minutes of setting up conveyor lines then 1 minute of setting down loading stations with a title of " how to set up the train system" won't play this again until they figure something else out.
I've played a lot of early access games, and this game is so frustrating to pick up even for an early access game. I was expecting rough edges - which I encountered and were fine - but instead the game felt like pulling teeth as even the most basic of automation tasks was a difficult slog to try and set up, and the game did nothing but fight me and present its systems in the most "♥♥♥♥ you" way possible (WHY ARE CONVEYOR BELTS REQUIRED TO BE FED INTO AN ADDITIONAL MEDIATOR BUILDING???) that it undermines the best parts of the games this is clearly trying to emulate. Maybe a couple years, in full release, I'll come back to this game. If you like Factorio or Satisfactory - DO NOT BUY THIS! This game has all the operational complexity of those games and none of the systems which make them a treat (which already exist in those games, and could be copied very easily, as the rest of this game is!) Please revisit this game in 3 years when, hopefully, it becomes the perfect mediator for the two games which I can enjoy.
Play Satisfactory instead. This game is like others in it's genre except inferior in every way. The destructible terrain is nice, and I like the Galactic Market in theory, but it's all just too slow and plodding. Visually the game is ugly and has no character or art direction to speak of. The C3-BB companion robot is infuriatingly stupid. "Beep boop!" Die in a fire you plushie sales slop. Overall, it's not a horrible game, it's just not good. Update 4: The construction bot is good, but building is still tedious. If you're interested in this game, wait to see if/how blueprinting is implemented.
Not recommended, at least not in the current state of the game. I am really enjoying factory builder games, but this one ain't it. Maybe in a year I'll check back in, but right now it feels more like roughly put together elements of other games. There's not really an incentive to play and the price point doesn't help. It feels like a 10€ game, not one costing 30€. The animals are cute though and the worlds art style has its vibe, but that doesn't cover up the lack of content, gameplay and replay value. 2/5, maybe 1 or 2 years of additional development time can help fix tthe issues I have with the game
So boring game. You have to create account to play game and download some stupid launcher. ALSO IF you want to delete your account YOU HAVE TO SUBLMIT ticket. That is crazy. 0/10 bad Minecraft overall
I have over 50 hours and the depth of this game is just wow. The more I play this game the more I love it. It may very well edge out satisfactory as my favorite game. And that is coming from a satisfactory fan boy. The trains are amazing! You actually can drive them from FP perspective. So cool. I love automation games for the most part. Foundry and Satisfactory are my two favorites so far. I really like the voxel base gameplay foundry offers. Instead of having to build a factory over a mountain I can remove the mountain if I so desire. In fact I excavated all the dirt and stone under my main base and made a massive train station. This is satisfactory meets minecraft. I also like the zen feel the game has. I actually prefer the fact there are no hostile mobs when playing automation games. Just another aspect of foundry I love.
It's not bad but it is kinda mid. This game has the same shortfalls many of those factory games have. Too many products that need too many different materials to make. It is very difficult to track where the needed materials are produced because the factory becomes a mess very soon. There is no vertical Conveyor Belt, there is just a basic Splitter which doesn't really help to manage the Spaghetti Belt mess. Not good. I have 1000 hours in Satisfactory, and this game ain't it unfortunately.
A surprisingly deep builder that keeps you hooked This game does a great job of pulling you in and keeping you thinking about your next move. It’s easy to pick up, fun to play, and refreshingly free of constant threats or wildlife attacking you every few minutes. Once you get into the flow, it becomes hard to put down. ### **👍 Pros** - Graphics are solid and fit the style well - Clear long‑term goal that motivates progression - Building and deconstructing is smooth and intuitive - Huge terrain to explore - Practically endless room for creativity and perfecting your designs ### **👎 Cons** - Some machines and systems could use better explanations - Freight elevators take a bit of experimenting to master - Profit progression feels slow early on ### **💬 Final Thoughts** Once everything clicks, the game becomes incredibly satisfying. The depth, freedom, and sense of progression make it one of the stronger early access titles out there. Definitely worth the price in its current state.
