Unskippable cutscenes to start off with. The first scene looked like it was full of corrupted pixels and artifacts, like it didn't render correctly before they put out the game. Terrible audio mixing. Got stuck on the TUTORIAL (also not skippable), with no additional help offered by the game when I clearly wasn't getting the instructions (had to look up a walkthrough on what to do, which bodes well for how the rest of the game will go). No menu option to reset key bindings, pause, or ask for help. No indication of when the game is saving progress (since autosave is the only saving feature). From other reviews/discussions, looks like some folks have had problems with redeeming their keys after buying a bundle from a website. I also had this issue! Never had a problem with a redeeming a Humble Bundle game until this one. (Apparently they resold unredeemed keys after 30 days, WOW!) This game looked fun from the outside, but on the inside, total waste of my time.
Cute 2d platformer with a lot of personality. Love the artwork in this game. Gameplay is fairly simple, and although a few of the controls are clunky, its still fairly easy to pick up. The story is pretty short and I'd hope to see a game similar to this with more depth from the publisher in the future.
Идеальная игра!
"Unfortunately even the story is lacking in depth and fails to bring anything unique to the table which is a little dull considering the developers, FatPanda, come to us all the way from Mexico which has such a deep culture with incredible stories to tell." "In all, it was a decent attempt at a new concept but didn’t quite ever make it further than that. Some strong user testing and in-depth knowledge of game design was clearly missing here but there are hints of a sequel, if the ending cutscenes are anything to go by, and I truly believe that it could be something special if attacked from the right angle." 5/10 Full review at https://darkzero.co.uk/game-reviews/flat-kingdom-pc/ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R8w9f5rpsxU&list=PLCw43T4HpdujlGf6bLYFRqnspS49kfrNG&index=1
Another title where I would choose the "meh" rating if I could. Looks and feels like it is an Android port of some sorts. I got this game bundled with some other stuff but even so it has bad and good parts. The good: Rock- paper- scissors mechanics really fit this game and on top of that the player gets a set of skills for each form (square- circle- triangle). There's this codex of monster types within the game and each type gets countered by one of the player's forms. That said, it's easy to wrap my head around it but sometimes platforming execution requires skill. Different level design, plenty of monster types to be found, secrets, collectibles. Story is easy to understand, provides just enough context for what is going on through the game. Level design is reminiscent of those paper cut-out books and provides a fitting atmosphere. Some of the bosses are fun to fight once I figured out how to beat them. The bad: Sometimes the controls themselves are a problem, feels like the character isn't responding fast enough and I'm sure it's not my controller's fault. The platforming sometimes has awkwardly placed monsters/traps/checkpoints. At times I had to start a whole level over just because the checkpoint was placed weird and some lizard pushed me into the lava or w/e scenario like that. Could get over it as long as I learned the pattern but some of the checkpoints are still terribly placed. Boss fights rely on RNG especially in late game, they either do BS unavoidable moves or they decide not to. So far this game didn't keep my interest long enough to finish it, I gave up at about 3/4 of the game which I don't normally do. Might finish it someday, might not. I truly believe there's better platformers out there, this one had potential but kinda messed up along the way.
Beatutiful game with a unique and cool artstyle, but the controls and movement feel very awkward and the basic rock-paper-scissor shapeshifting mechanics isn't nearly as fun as it might sound.

Elég csak megnézni az achievementjeit. A játékosok 90%-a lemorzsolódik a játék negyedéig. Egyszerűen nem élvezetes. Lassú és nehézkes a mozgás. Az alakváltó mechanika béna és unalmas. Ötlettelen pályák. Együgyű főellenség harc.
