Having fun so far. Finished episode 1 and I am loving this game. I played Voyeur way back and this is similar but technology has moved on and this is really fun to play and looks amazing. Well worth the price I think.
It's a bit generous to call this "Rear window: the game". There's a lack of agency and complexity, and I felt completely "out" of the plot (not even witnessing it, let alone solving it). The idea is good, but I'm not fond of the execution.
Played on Rift S. The concept of the game is to watch events unfolding in a very well written piece of VR theatre. I loved how observing one situation could mean missing something going on elsewhere, this adds to the suspense and lets you come back for a replay watching for different things and how knowing something else could change how you perceive the story as a whole. It is short but the diverse cast of characters are well acted and believable. Again this is like VR theatre where you can nudge the plot along while soaking up the drama and atmosphere. Well worth the price of admission and I really hope there is a Fire Escape 2 in the future with just more of everything.
Reviewed with Valve Index + Knuckles
My 1st VR - Who Done It 👍🏻 ✔️Modern twist using Smart Phone + Emoji ✔️The Killer was surprise to me, sorta cause I ❌Felt like it had no real ending, for the others. Fire Escape - Commentary by The Mummy https://studio.youtube.com/video/maV9R-FCHBo/edit
All in all it was quite entertaining. Like these kind of games when you don't interact much and can just relax and watch, almost like a movie. I would recommend it to people who wanna take a break from intensive VR games and just watch a good story line.
Great! Enjoyed it, very interesting take on a VR game!
