I liked this game more than expected, I'm not even sure why. I loved the pixel graphics, the creepy athmosphere and the several endings (I still have to complete one of them). I would have appreciated a more detailed story and background. Some things are still unclear to me. There are jumpscares, but not so intense and terrifying. The puzzles are not so hard. What really made me cry bitter tears is the labyrinth at the end. If you, like me, have the sense of direction of a mussel, feel free to check my gameplay, it should be helpful. https://youtu.be/ApsGdF10b8Q
Great game for the money. I thoroughly enjoyed the one-two hours of play that were provided. Puzzles were fun and interesting. One of them was very difficult, but a challenge was good to have after so many games just walk you through their environment. The atmosphere was engaging and tense. Excellent sound design. I enjoyed the story, which unfolded well and came to a cool climax. I also like the multiple endings, playing through all of them. My only complaints were a bug and some of the end story-telling techniques. The bug occured where certain scenes would not load after clicking the interaction button with the appropriate item. It's like the game didn't recognize I had interacted with the door/hatch/vent. The psych ward was particularly frustrating as it forced me to restart the game several times. I also wish there was less exposition after the good ending and more visual story-telling. If this is fixed, I would give the game a 10/10 for the money paid. As of now I give it a 6/10. Check out my playthrough for all endings. I solve the briefcase puzzle about mid-way through if you get stuck and need help: https://youtu.be/mQhsgrtwFIA

Whisperwind is a micro creepy walking simulator that takes place inside a prison. In this prison you are alone, find items, solve puzzles, unravel a story, and try to escape. The game is extremely short. I beat the game in 20 minutes from beginning to end. After that I ran through the game again 2 times to get all 3 endings in 40 minutes total. + The atmosphere is creepy. + The sound design is well done. + The puzzles are fun to solve. +/- The story is somewhat original but poorly told, seems lost in translation at times. - The game is way too short. - The graphics are a bit too retro, many added useless filters. - No real scares, interesting ghosts, or enemies to encounter. Extremely quick game but I had some fun with it. Barely a pass. Overall: 5.5/10
An hours gameplay, not bad, easy achievements.
This ended up being an interesting game. The plot was pretty good, though perhaps short and a bit obvious in parts but still good. The spooky atmosphere was done very well. The game itself is short (even shorter still once you know what you need to do), but it does require looking everywhere for papers and writings to fully understand the story. I did also enjoy the puzzles, though most were a bit too easy (only one stumped me for a little bit but once I saw the solution, it was obvious). I didn't experience any bugs in this game, which is always a plus. There are some translation issues where the English is a bit off (such as using "nursery" instead of "infirmary"), but the intent is still clear and understandable. Overall, a fun and short psychological horror game. I would recommend the game to fans of the genre who are looking for lighter horror games.
Whisperwind is a Digital Homicide style Unity asset flip. The developers took a bunch of low poly asset packs from Synty Studios (Polygon Zombies, Polygon Office Pack etc), threw them into a blender and tried to make a first person adventure game out of it. It's pretty bad, too. From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. The game features lazy low-polygon "retro" assets, making this look like a barely functional 3D game from the 1990s. It's unclear why the developers weren't able to arrange high quality, high polygon count contemporary assets for the game, and also irrelevant... what matters is that this looks bad as a result of their decisions, a compromise PC gamers shouldn't have to put up with. There's an ugly screen filter meant to make the game look even more obsolete... like the game looks bad enough already, but they actually went out of their way to make it look worse. There's no way to turn this off. The controls can't be customised, which will be an annoyance for many, but it can also render the game unplayable for differently-abled gamers. These technical defects push this game below acceptable standards for any modern PC game. The poor quality of this game is reflected in the general public reception. At the time of this review, SteamDB shows the all-time peak player number was only 6 players. That's right, only 6. This is a pitiful enough number, and now, the only player activity occurs once or twice a month, presumably someone loading it up to see what it is then quickly uninstalling it. Considering there's over 120 million gamers on Steam, the overwhelming lack of interest in the game is remarkable, but also to be expected. This complete and utter rejection of the game from gamers should be a keen information point for anyone considering buying shovelware like this. Gamers just didn't take this seriously, and for good reason. The game contains stock/store assets and other packages from Synty Studios, but the "developer" here hasn't credited the people who actually did the work for the game. While this isn't necessarily against the license for the use of those assets, claiming the work of others as your own is highly unethical. Gamers should be made aware when a developer behaves unethically, as buying games from unethical developers puts the gamers money at risk. Whisperwind has the farcical price of around $5 USD, it's not worth it given the defects and shortcomings with the product, especially considering the unethical nature of the developer. Remember that if you buy a game from an unethical developer, you're putting your money at risk.
Talvez. Sei lá. Nada além desse ponto do jogo me sugere isso.)
A very nice old school horror story, told through a vintage VHS filter! This is the third game I play from these very talented brazilian indie devs, and I am happy to say I have found another crew of little masters of horror! If you have not done it yet, I suggest you try this game, AND the other two games released here on steam by these creators, i.e., "Office elevator" and "Game.exe". These are all very very short horror experiences, but they are done incredibly well, each one of them is a bite-sized tribute to classic horror that a true fan of spooks and shivers can't absolutely miss! Aaaah... this is food for my nostalgic soul! Cheers guys!
