Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Venture Kid is a decent Mega Man clone that does its job perfectly without adding anything new to the formula. It’s basically a hybrid between the very first Mega Man and Mega Man 9 since it comes with a shop system and without the charge shot ability. The gameplay is pretty much the same as the first Mega Man except that you have some secret areas that contain collectibles that are mandatory for unlocking the final level. You also get new weapons from the protagonist Andy’s uncle after each level instead of copying the bosses' abilities since Andy is a human being instead of a robot. The story is also very simple. There’s this guy called Teklov who is the counterpart of Dr. Wily, who builds a space station for world domination by making it seem like it’s being built for peace and Andy goes after him. With the help of his sister and uncle, he manages to stop Teklov from fulfilling his evil plans. The sprites are also decent. Some look ugly, some look good, but overall, it’s good on the eyes. However, the soundtrack, on the other hand, is phenomenal. The whole game is very straightforward with lots of predictable enemies and bosses. There is literally nothing that can challenge a seasoned platformer player. The difficulty is on point since it gradually increases with each level and reaches its climax in the last 3 levels. The achievements are very easy to obtain as you can tell from my playtime and there’s a decent amount of replay value with different difficulties with very primitive changes that boil down to bosses’ HP points and the amount of hits you can take. There’s also a New Game Plus mode that lets you use all abilities from the beginning without having to worry about their energies. The shop contains extra lives, a W tank counterpart to fill up the weapon energies individually, a one-time use HP refill, an extra hit point, and a weapon balancer. You’ll naturally buy them all by the end of the game since all you’ll be doing collecting orbs and defeating enemies; therefore, there’s no need for grinding unless you’re having a hard time with it. Unfortunately, you don’t have anything that acts as an E tank, but with how easy the game is, it’s not needed either. The one-time HP refill is more than enough.
TL;DR
A very fun and primitive Mega Man clone that does its job as intended without bringing anything new to the formula. It has predictable enemies and bosses, a shop system, a great soundtrack, and collectibles that are hidden in secret areas that serve a much bigger role in the end. If you have that classic Mega Man itch that needs scratching, Venture Kid will get the job done.

Very cheap, very simple, very short but very fun little game! The gameplay is heavily inspired by Megaman, just like the music! It plays very smooth imo and feels fair. The bosses are a bit basic, but you can't really complain for that price! It is easier than Megaman aswell, so it isn't as hard. That is pretty much all. Short review, for a short game! You will not be disappointed!
Venture Kid, developed by Snikkabo AS and published by FDG Entertainment, is a retro-inspired action platformer that deliberately channels the spirit of classic 8-bit era games. From its pixel art visuals to its chiptune soundtrack and tightly structured level progression, the game is a clear homage to late-1980s console action titles. Rather than attempting to modernize the formula with complex systems or expansive open-world elements, Venture Kid focuses on precision platforming, straightforward combat, and boss-driven progression, embracing simplicity as its defining strength. The story centers on Andy, a young hero who sets out to stop the villainous Dr. Teklov from unleashing a devastating weapon hidden deep within a fortified stronghold. The narrative is minimal and serves primarily as a framework for the action, reflecting the storytelling style of the era it emulates. Dialogue and exposition are sparse, allowing gameplay to remain the focal point. The structure is linear, guiding players through a series of themed levels, each culminating in a boss battle that tests reflexes and pattern recognition. Gameplay mechanics are intentionally streamlined. Andy can run, jump, and fire a blaster, with the core challenge arising from careful movement and enemy management. Levels are designed with hazards such as spikes, pits, moving platforms, and projectile-firing enemies that require precise timing to overcome. The controls are responsive, emphasizing accuracy over complexity. As players defeat bosses, they acquire new abilities and weapons, such as boomerang-style projectiles or enhanced movement options like double jumps. These upgrades not only strengthen combat capabilities but also encourage exploration by allowing access to previously unreachable areas. Level design is varied enough to maintain momentum across the adventure. Environments range from jungle-inspired stages to industrial complexes and space-themed fortresses, each featuring distinct enemy types and obstacle patterns. Hidden collectibles and secret pathways reward attentive players who explore beyond the most obvious routes. While the progression remains linear overall, these hidden elements add an extra layer of engagement for completionists. Visually, Venture Kid embraces its retro roots with detailed pixel art that mimics the aesthetic limitations of early console hardware while maintaining clarity on modern displays. Character animations are fluid within the 8-bit framework, and environmental sprites are colorful and distinct. The soundtrack reinforces the nostalgic atmosphere with energetic chiptune compositions that enhance both action sequences and quieter moments of exploration. The cohesive audiovisual presentation effectively captures the charm of classic platformers without feeling overly dated. Beyond the main campaign, Venture Kid includes additional modes that extend its replayability. Players can tackle survival challenges, boss rush modes, or adjustable difficulty settings that alter the intensity of enemy encounters. These options provide incentives to revisit levels and refine performance, particularly for players seeking high-score challenges or speedrun opportunities. However, the overall length of the campaign is relatively modest, and once all modes are completed, there may be limited long-term engagement for those seeking deeper progression systems. One of the game’s defining traits is its commitment to faithful recreation rather than innovation. Venture Kid does not significantly deviate from the conventions of the genre it honors. For some players, this authenticity is its greatest strength, offering a polished and nostalgic experience that captures the essence of classic run-and-gun design. For others, the lack of modern twists or groundbreaking mechanics may make it feel derivative. The game’s appeal largely depends on the player’s appreciation for traditional platforming fundamentals. Ultimately, Venture Kid stands as a well-crafted tribute to 8-bit action platformers. Its responsive controls, focused level design, and nostalgic presentation create a cohesive and enjoyable experience for fans of retro gaming. While it does not redefine the genre or introduce complex new systems, it successfully delivers a concise, skill-based adventure rooted in classic design principles. For players seeking a straightforward, polished throwback that emphasizes precision and timing, Venture Kid offers a satisfying journey through a familiar yet lovingly recreated style of gameplay. JUEGAZO 😎👍💛🌟
It doesn't get easier than that when it comes to Mega Man clones. A love letter to the Mega Man franchise, simple and short game, has all the beloved iconic elements, multiphase bosses, weapons, abilities, secret collectibles and charm, just enough to get you hooked in to get all the achievements. Speedrun friendly and that comes from a person who doesn't enjoy speedruning. It only gets kinda annoying at the end... Too many insta death spikes and lazers with timings. But overall this is the perfect entry for someone who has never played a Mega Man game. Highly recommended for any oldschool platformers
