Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.29/day in the week to Sep 11 → 0.17/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I first played this game as a teenager in 2018. I didn't get it. I thought it was pretentious, trying too hard to be abstract and its plot pointlessly obscure. I came back to it 8 years later to collect the achievements I was missing and fully strike it off my backlog, and I wasn't looking forward to the process. In revisiting it, though, I was left very taken aback. Behind the pretty scene design, beautiful soundtrack, and minimalist gameplay is a profound story about systemic corruption and its appetite to survive and spread at any cost. The game is heaving with symbolism and detail I had completely failed to notice when I was younger; I think you could spend longer analysing the plot and each metaphor than you would for a full playthrough or even two. Perhaps what is most divisive about this game is that all of this is communicated non-verbally, and necessitates patience and careful attention to understand. I definitely wasn't the right audience the first time I played, but I'm glad I seem to have grown to be it by the time I tried again. This game is, I think, a prime example of horseshoe theory - some people like it because it's a "trippy" 90s detective story in Suburban America. A lot of people don't like it because it's artsy and tries hard. And on the other end are people who like it because it elegantly and originally gets its point across: as is put in one of the achievement descriptions, "There are no passengers ... we are all crew." If we do not actively make the hard and scary choice to resist corruption, we have no choice but to become complicit and further it. Yes, it's a walking simulator. Yes, there's no dialogue. Yes, you can finish it in two hours. But if you are somebody keen on literary analysis and meaningful storytelling, I think you would love Virginia. I'm very glad I gave it a second chance.

I can sort of see why it got a mixed review. Though I honestly wonder if it has something to do with the fact it has PoC as a protagonist. Honestly, I liked the experience, although I don't think the story was suited for a dialogue-less game. There were several points where some dialogue would have helped to follow the story. Because most of the characters look alike. I wish it ended earlier, at a point, but then it kept going a bit. The music was great! The style, while very rudimentary, was distinct enough to make it its own thing. Definitely liked the use of colors here. Very warm and inviting, but also slightly autumnal. You can see Twin Peaks being an influence here (the bar scene definitely showcased that).
Virginia is experiment in both form and storytelling. With frequent cuts and montage, the time moves in such a compelling way. The whole game is like a set of memories, anxieties, uncertainties, past, present and possible futures, like the way things unfold in our mind and dreams. Even though i can't really wrap my mind around what it all meant, I would say the game is very precise in what it wants to achieve and how simply it wants to do it. In the end we can more feel what it's about then really explain it all in details. Virginia's story is about finding a place in this world, somewhere, somehow and with someone. It isn't as intriguing and marvellous as Kentucky Route Zero, but it certainly is good and worth an hour and a half of your time if you like surreal and ambiguous games/movies.
It's very impressive from a presentation perspective, but that is really all the good I can say about this. If you LOVED 'Thirty Flights of Loving' then you will probably like what they are going for here, but I personally feel TFoL did this concept much more effectively in much less time. Even compared to other 'walking sims' this is VERY light on actual gameplay. Your only input is 'click on the thing that makes the story advance'. There are no puzzles, no dialogue choices, no optional areas to explore, that is it. There are some obtuse things you can click on for alternate endings but it isn't really substantial content. The lack of dialogue and even much in game text leads to a story that is very hard to follow unless you are a big-brain super genius. Maybe I'm just too stupid to work this out but I don't usually struggle with abstract media to this extent, I can usually at least understand the themes or message of the work even if certain plot points are not clear. This just felt like a big old mess of 'things' that are presented to you. I don't think I'm meant to draw my own conclusions on what is happening as there is clearly a defined story being told, I just don't have enough info to piece it together without watching a Youtube video that explains it all. I remember this being massively hyped a few years ago so was excited to play it. Am very disappointed with what it turned out to be. I would say this is only worth your time if you want to play the equivalent of a movie that pauses ever few seconds until you hit play again, as this is really all the gameplay comes down to.
Genre
Ein kurzes First Person Story Driven Mystery Adventure
Story
Gameplay
I don't do acid, maybe thats why I didn't understand this game..
Definitely a walking simulator game that you experience over play. But what a HELL of an experience.
