About
A plethora of powerful swordplay techniques and Eikonic abilities lie within Clive's remit—and it is up to you to decide which ones you wish to learn or upgrade. If you're having trouble choosing, upgrades can be unlocked automatically.
Story-focused mode is recommended for those players who are less comfortable with action games and wish to focus more on the game's story elements. In this mode, Clive will automatically evade some attacks, and epic Eikonic combos can be triggered with simple button presses. Action-focused mode, where Clive's every action is controlled by the player, is available for those who are confident in their skill—or want to test it.

Stories engaging the combat is fun and the graphics are great what more do you want out of a final fantasy? Sure it isn't turn based combat but I think that only helps 16 stand out even more!
Press R3 to activate Fantasy Sense to see your next objective (there's already a giant icon on your screen). *In the middle of a fight and a stagger an enemy* "Woah! You just staggered an enemy you can-" Like yeah, I KNOW that I staggered him. Why is there a tutorial for literally everything imaginable? I get wanting to make the game accessible to anyone, but at the VERY least, make it so you can turn off tutorials and pop-ups; literally every game since, like, 2007 has done this. Why do the tutorials need to pop up in the center of your screen and freeze time? It's not like the game is hard or even remotely complicated; you literally mash 2 buttons the whole time. Does it really need multiple pages of tutorials to flash on your screen? I mean, it's so easy you can play with one hand and press every button at once and never get hit and get massive combos. *Game pauses* “Woah! You just unlocked walking; move the left stick forward to move forward.” *Game pauses* “Woah you just moved forward, press the jump button to jump!” It's basically Expedition 33, but a hack-and-slash with 85,000 tutorials that actively slow down the game to a crawl. *Review pauses * “Woah! You read this review, to leave a comment press the COMMENT button and TYPE something!” It really doesn’t help that it never lets you sit with the areas; instead, you walk about 15 steps before going into a 30-second to 2-minute cutscene, then walk or fight for about 20 seconds, then go back into another cutscene. The story hook is pretty interesting. I like the character designs. The music has been alright so far. The game looks pretty great visually, but there are so many tutorials and the combat is so mind-numbingly easy that I can’t see myself finishing this game. *Review pauses* “Remember to leave a comment! Press the COMMENT button and TYPE something!” Arigatoooo!
nice game
Amazing Devil May Cry movie.
Great voice acting and boss fights. Story is good. Combat is okay, could be better. Side quests are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ abysmal.
As someone who has only played the FF7 remakes up to this point I wanted to start with the newest FF game, so i got FF16. The best part of this game are the characters, especially Clive and Cid, and just how cinematic and epic the game can be in cutscenes and boss fights. Other things that are good include: story and combat. The thing I hated the most about FF7 rebirth is how boring the open world activities and majority of the side quests are. Here, it's the same thing. Additionally, the pacing of this game is not good. The high points are so high but the low points are so low, and dragged out. Overall I would give the game a 7/10 - good
The game has a lot of good points, as well as bad points. If you expect a Story-rich game, with lots of entertaining fights and pure cinema, play it. Story i'd rate about 8.5/10. What i'd critique tho is the Crafting System, as well as the overall itemisation in the game. You unlock new weapons, that are about 5% better than your old one after each Storybeat. And other than the best weapon in the game - which by itself is also only about 10% Stronger than the one before that - you always have the needed Materials for everything you wanna craft. You find little amounts of crafting Materials all over the map all the time, but you never need any of them at all. Gil is only needed for Orchestrion Rolls, and i don't think many people have ever used the Jukebox.
Played 5 hours - 4 hours of cutscenes /cinema - looks great but so boring to play through. No real customization, no real challenge to combat, game of thrones style writing...sort of ... idk I like the magic and the story and the use of FF icons like dragoons but I can't spend my time slowly moving through the game. I WOULD watch the full video on youtube but I have a hard time turning this on. The forest scene with Cid is what did it... cut scene cut scene cutscene - 1 battle - cut scene cut scene cut scene 1 battle I wish they had kept the FFXV style open world. Why do they even have an open world "map"? Maybe it changes down the road but I have a job and dont' want to waste anymore time finding out. Good voice acting.
