Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
13 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

Reviews
A beautiful game with a unique and pretty unusual combat system. The story is good, though it gets noticeably better in the following entries (XIII-2 and Lightning Returns). I'd recommend playing it as part of the trilogy rather than standalone — go through all three in order. Spent about 60 hours on this one alone (not 100%), roughly 130 hours across the whole trilogy. Recommended, solid game.

13 on sale2 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 2 “not sold” markets are read from the Steam price pass of Sep 11: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price in those. The 13 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 5.67/day in the week to Aug 4 → 6/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Poland over the last 30 days: the 21 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 12 places towards #1, and the 2,501 moves with no price cut behind them went 1 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Seems the Steam version has some issues compared to the Xbox version, but i cant complain when theyre easily fixed by running in windows 8 compatability mode. Dont bother trying to go above 720p if you want to see the enemy notes when looking at the enemy info, 1080p works perfectly fine but just removes said notes from enemy info. Anything above 1080p will have a line going through the screen from the top right corner to the bottom left corner, do with this information what you will. As for the game itself, its heavily underrated among the Final Fantasy community, mostly complaints that the story is hard to understand unless you read the datalog, which simply isnt true at all. Other complaints are usually about the crystals being replaced with beings, when in reality that isnt an issue at all with this is a reimagining of the original Final Fantasy, so replacing the "gods" just makes sense with that context. Overall i think this is a great game, 8/10
Don't listen to the bad rep this game got. It's a bit slow to start but once the story progresses things get interesting, one of the nicer more stratigec battle systems Square has created. Really great story and it's hard not to fall in love with the characters such as every FF game. Highly recommend.
Interesting story, interesting combat, good music, good cutscenes, but with an incredibly awful game design and poorly written characters. This game deserves the mixed reviews. I only recommend this game to people who are strong Final Fantasy fans and are willing to push through the slog because of their love for the franchise. I don't think I could recommend this game to anyone else. I see that there are many negative reviews because of the technical difficulties people are experiencing. The game ran fine for me; I had no issues, and I did not have to apply any community patch or fix. My PC specs are attached to the review. However, I do have a warning: This game is grindy. There are loads of enemy encounters, and if you run past them, you will be severely underlevelled for the boss in Chapter 9, and you will have to grind for a long time to make up for it. Even if you put the game on easy mode, you will still have to do a bit of grinding, and the fight will still be challenging.
I remember when I was like 6 back in the big 2014, I would see this game on YT thumbnails and even my mum would occasionally play FF ranging from 13,8,9 and 10. 13 had the most interesting aesthetic and vibe out of them(Not dissing the rest) I liked the main protagonist Lightning and also Snow I thought they looked cool, so lets skip 11 years later its 2025 and I played FF7 Remake, Rebirth and 10 and I loved them all so I finally play 13 and the aesthetic and vibe was there but I found myself somewhat bored and I think it is gameplay weirdly I just don't find it engaging and it makes me annoyed because I should like this game it has everything and sinking 15 hours in there is times of fun but also times of just pure boredom, I wished this game was either turn based like 10 or have similar gameplay to FF7 remake because then I was would easily play this I would still recommended this game because it has a really cool aesthetic and vibe, characters are fun, the story that I saw was interesting but the gameplay just really wasn't fully engaging.
