Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
13 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

Reviews
So hear me out. People hated this game when it came out on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. The reason for this was the storyline that was so linear that it felt like it was holding your hand which is still intact here. And also because of the random difficulty spikes that happen in this game even if you maxed out your Crystarium. Basically, RNG was the only thing that seemed to save your life sometimes. Welcome to 2026, we have mods that fix those issues, yay! I can't say which exact mods I've installed because they will break the experience for people looking for a purist playthrough, but there are mods that exist which are supposed to lower the difficulty and make the game more accessible. The other problem with this game is the Datalogs, eugh. In order to understand this game and the sequels that follow this one, you have to read the Datalogs as if you're reading an actual book. You don't learn about the story naturally through gameplay and the characters themselves are pretty stilted as well where they don't really develop through the story. So yeah, already this sounds like a 5 out of 10 game and that explains the mixed recent reviews for it. My personal opinion is that this game has very good art direction and a mostly focused story that once you've read the logs and you understand what's going on, you really do fall in love with it. Even though the characters don't develop in this story, by the end of the game you will absolutely fall in love with at least one or two characters in the story. And you will want to see what happens to them in the sequel, for sure. The sequel on PC is broken but I have created a how-to guide on Steam on how to fix it and actually make it playable. I've also done the same thing for the reviews on the second game so you can easily find that information without going hours looking for it. The sequel to this game is my favorite game in the entire Final Fantasy franchise so if you're trying to play this game to get into that one, go ahead. Especially if you can get through all the flaws I've listed throughout this entire review. The main emphasis I should put here is that you do NOT, I REPEAT NOT need to play this game at all in order to understand 13-2. There is a compendium on the main menu of 13-2 that explains every single chapter of this game in detail. It's very truncated, so if you want the full experience that's when you would put this game on your wishlist and buy it.

13 on sale2 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 2 “not sold” markets are read from the Steam price pass of Sep 11: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price in those. The 13 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 5.67/day in the week to Aug 4 → 6/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Poland over the last 30 days: the 21 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 12 places towards #1, and the 2,501 moves with no price cut behind them went 1 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Ainda assim, achei extremamente divertido!
Good: - Compelling, easy-to-follow story. - Some really cool FMV sequences - Crystarium is a simple, satisfying way to upgrade your stats - Paradigms are an interesting, if basic concept. - No penalty for game over; game reverts you to just before the battle Neutral: - Game really needs a "fast-forward" option, especially for Chapter 11 - Tedious side quests, as with all Final Fantasy games - Battle system feels like a simplified version of FFXII, may be an aquired taste for long time players. - Party leader dying is a game over Bad: - The PC port is not great, thankfully several modders have stepped up to address this. The main nuances in this game lie in equipment choices and how you manage your paradigms. Big thankyou to all the modders who have improved this shoddy port over the years.
After playing through to where things really open up and beyond my 2nd time and finally beating the game, this might be my favourite mainline Final Fantasy. The characters were great and felt believable, the gameplay was snappy and engaging and the pacing was pretty good for the majority of the game. (I didn't do any post-game stuff and probably never will as that's not my cup of tea). The linearity isn't much different than Final Fantasy 10's and the level gating keeps things interesting for the majority of the game. It's nice to have a game that doesn't just let you outright level through it to ignore all the challenges and that allowed basically any party combination to be viable if you worked on the setup. The paradigms were a lot of fun to plan and use and I loved that status effects and buffs actually made a huge difference and mattered in this game. The real downside I had playing was, especially in the final dungeon/area (I won't expand more on that descriptor to avoid spoilers) the game crashed quite a few times, both on my PC and using my Steam Deck, which was frustrating. And the camera felt like it was waaay too close to the characters when moving around in the world and sort-of bugged my eyes out. Otherwise things played pretty well and the game holds up amazingly visually at the least, as well as musically.
The introduction to this game is awful. The worldbuilding is interesting enough, but about half the characters are just awful and annoying. One kid wants to kill a guy who gave his mom a gun and in the fighting she fell off a bridge - the guy also fell off a bridge, and this character was a complete coward before - so what is this kid about? being an obnoxious mama's boy - wow I'm so glad he's in my party. And then they made a comic relief character who thwarts the main character's plans at ever turn by being a buffoon, while being a complete ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ to her the whole time. He acknowledges that the forces of the government are evil and will shoot civilians, but he also says "why doesn't the government do something?". The pacing seems pretty awful too - they give you no choices in battle except single target and AoE, and also include an auto-battle option as default, then throw you into the same battle over and over. The keyboard controls were bound by an idiot - instead of bringing up the menu or closing a menu, escape brings up a prompt to quit the game. In fact, you can't rebind it even if you want to. The graphics are a product of their time - at least things look interesting. The music is alright as well, but there's no Angel of Death , and there's also no options to change the sound balancing in the game.
