This was the first Final Fantasy game I ever played after getting a PlayStation 1 as a teenager, so it will always hold a special place in my heart. I absolutely love the story and the characters!

i Actually played this Game again since i wanna try this Remastered Version and a bit of Nostalgia. It's great since i am Old now hahahaha i can understand the game more than what we are when we are a kids yohohohohoh... Come Play with me friends... or just watch me play ^_^
IF you play on PC it plays great. Classic FF8 experience with added stuff to make the progression faster. However if it is not STEAM DECK VERIFIED. It does not run on the steam deck. It will crash and reset back to the main menu after a few minutes of gameplay. Until then i cannot recommend it unless you only play on PC
the remaster is worth the purchase, has tons of QOL fixes, refines character models , fixes some of the translation issues when explaining junctions and card systems, I know VIII gets a ton of hate but this remaster will change your perspective and at the end of the day the OST is STILL a banger

The same classic game you remember with a little better graphics and a bit more functionality. The added feature I used the most was the x3 speed mode. It's easy to toggle on/off and really great for some of the slower parts or times where you are just waiting on animation/load screens going in/out of battles. Also great when doing a lot of mindless farming.
