Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

Reviews
Bloated, ubisoft world design, and too many minigames disrupting the pacing. While the combat is great, it never scratched the JRPG itch to me.
What a game, I don’t know how I’m supposed to move on. The FF7 player base seems to be easy to disappoint, and while the game isn’t perfect and deserves some criticism for sure, I think some of y’all will never be happy. The game is truly massive and has tons of side content, but the majority of it isn’t mandatory. A lot of side stuff was fun for me to complete, but the moment I noticed I was getting tired of side quests, I simply stopped doing them and focused on the main story. If you’re stuck on a minigame and instead of moving on, you’re torturing yourself by doing it for 5 hours straight until you’ve completely burned yourself out and hate everything, that’s a you problem. Maybe stop treating your hobby like a checklist. The problem isn’t the amount of content, it’s that some of the main story bits don’t add much to world-building or character relationships, it’s kinda just there. For example,
Shinra Mansion and Corel Prison parts
seem like a lost opportunity to me. There’s nothing interesting or meaningful about
doing a silly throwing boxes minigame or picking up greens for Piko
. Why not make it darker and give us an opportunity to see the disturbing reality of these places? Too much lightheartedness, and it loses its effect. However, when it’s good, it’s SO GOOD. Every character has so much personality, and the bond they share is beautiful. I was so happy to spend time with them and see them interact, the main cast feels like family at this point. The combat system is even better and more polished then in Remake, it might be one of my favourite combat systems of all time. I could never get tired of using the synergy skills and abilities, they’re so cool. The boss fights are top tier, a lot of them are a big step up from Remake in my opinion. I feel like the soundtrack is easily one of the best things about this game too, it’s so heartwarming to hear the new versions of old themes.
Jenova Lifeclinger’s
music went insanely hard, I could barely focus on the fight. And so did the
One-Winged Angel Reborn
theme. It was blasting in my headphones for 40 minutes straight cause the last phase of the fight took me 6ish attempts to get through, and aghh, it’s so grandiose, fitting the occasion. So if you’re considering playing Rebirth, don’t get too discouraged by certain reviews. As long as you are capable of deciding for yourself what’s worth completing and what’s not and being paitent with a huge adventure type game, you’ll be just fine.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 4: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
Same day: best FR #11, worst KR #43 · 13 markets collected
US · last 30 days
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 36.33/day in the week to Aug 4 → 40/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,420 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I will beat this game eventually but it is so hard to want to continue, the story 12 hours in still feels like a slog with very little progression, and still such a long ways from the end. Before I get into everything I do think the music is incredible, easily the best part of the game for me, its not at the ff16 level for me but these remakes have all been so good on the music. I think the audio mixing is weird though and the music especially is either way to loud or way to quiet and I end up fidgeting with audio settings a lot. And visually this game is pretty good? I have it on max settings and it runs fine but there is crazy pop-in I can watch whole fields and ships pop up and render in front of me all the time, I also think the art direction is just kind of bland the areas are all basic looking grass area or rundown desert area the high fidelity graphics also have the same issue monster hunter wilds has with things looking super detailed up close but the overall image quality in moment to moment gameplay looks almost muddy or smudged its mainly an issue in the open world but still weird, the difference from monster hunter though is that game has really great lighting this game does not its honestly bad lighting everything is either washed out and bright or it looks like a iphone 4s version of lighting in a space. Animations are also pretty good, I think in combat its great but outside of that its really frustrating how animations always lock you in and are extremely slow. Putting the player into a small area just for them to slowly walk against the wall is really annoying especially when they do it as often as this game does. The combat is better here than in the original remake, its not great still, I think enemy attacks are extremely difficult to react or read. Blocking still doesn't feel good and while abilities are easy to use spells and items still require you to menu mid combat so my eyes are constantly looking down at my meter instead of the enemy when it feels like it wants to be difficult and make me react to the animations. Story starts pretty strong and obviously I haven't beat the game yet but its been 8 hours since an interesting thing has happened. As soon as you leave the first city it becomes extremely boring and frustrating. The goal is the same as ff7 original with you finding sephiroth but it feels so slow and the beats are so far in between. I also think so many of the party members are really annoying here. Red, and Barret are fine red doesn't really do much but Barret is great honestly, he feels well written and thought out. Aerith and Tifa feel like the same characters, they act like highschoolers with weird jokes thrown in and its constantly telling the player "oh look at these two female characters aren't they so silly and ditzy and cute!!" but they just don't have any personality it spends more time getting them into poses so people can take screenshots than developing them as actual characters I should care about. Again maybe they get better later on but I thought they were charming in the original and in the remake they're fine they go through a lot more in that game and all the characters are pretty solid, avalance was a better group in the remake ): . In this game though, its like none of that ever happened and they're acting ten years younger. Again I am only 12ish hours in and the pacing of this game is just crazy to me I think I've had three bosses and between those its been walking around for a while and minigames that spend more time teaching you the controls than letting you play. I've never wanted to finish a jrpg less than this one and knowing that this game is 40ish hours long and that there is a sequel seems insane to me. Why not remake this game in one game and then spend time making new ff games or remaking ff8,9? Those games could really use the same remake treatment in terms of visual uplift (do not make them into multi game remakes I honestly never want to see that model again especially if it makes the story this poorly paced) I also wouldn't want especially 9 remade like this it has such a fun and interesting story it would be a shame to see it become a multiverse amnesia story where every party member doesn't really know what's going on and is also not smart enough to figure it out (outside of Barret who at least tries to move the story forward).
Yes yes, play it please
This is a banger. The open world design isn't the most interesting, but the actual side quests and minigames are great. Main story is a epic, combat is much deeper than Remake. Game performs great after getting the performance fix mod and shaders mod.
Really very big world/areas. Nothing like it's previous chapter that was a bit more on rails except in towns. I'm at about, may be, 25% of playthru and have to say that it's enjoyable and technically robust. Story is getting interesting and there's so much to discover in the world
Very good mini games, loving it.
Not as godo as the first game, not as big fan of th eopen worls stuff, It' spointless and doesn't really help the story.
