Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
Same day: best CA #52, worst AU #95 · 3 markets collected
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 3.67/day in the week to Aug 5 → 5.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About

Ivalice—a kingdom blessed by the light of the gods and ruled by the Two-headed Lion. A year after her defeat to Ordallia in the Fifty Years' War, the king succumbed to malady, leaving a mere boy of two to ascend the throne.
Whoever was named regent would rule in truth, and thus emerged two rival candidates: dukes Goltanna and Larg, whose deeds during the war had earned them great renown. Goltanna the Black Lion and Larg the White Lion were destined to clash, and the resulting conflict would come to be known as the War of the Lions.
Against this backdrop appear Ramza, third son of House Beoulve, one of Ivalice's leading military families, and his childhood companion Delita, a commoner raised amongst nobles. As they endeavor to chart a course through this tumultuous age, a mighty current draws them ever closer to the abyss.

Lead your party in exhilarating encounters where strategic positioning and forward planning determine the outcome. Use the varied terrain of 3D battlefields to your advantage, skillfully manipulate the turn order, and victory will be yours for the taking.

Combine a wide variety of jobs and abilities to craft your very own strategies.
As your party members grow, they will gain access to more jobs, each with its own unique abilities. Once learned, abilities can be used even after changing to another job. With over 20 jobs to master—including white mage, black mage, dragoon, and many others from the FINAL FANTASY series—and hundreds of abilities to learn, you have the freedom to experiment and discover the combinations that best suit your party. Chocobos and other creatures can also be tamed and led into battle.

With improved graphics, fully voiced dialogue, and refined gameplay, the enhanced version provides the perfect way to immerse yourself in the world of Ivalice. Along with the fine-tuning of several features and battle mechanics, the inclusion of the more accessible "Squire" difficulty setting makes the enhanced version an excellent starting point for first-time players.
The classic version unites the graphics and gameplay of the original 1997 version with the renowned War of the Lions translation for a unique way to experience this beloved title.
The Enhanced version of the game supports a wide variety of controller options.
It also supports keyboard and mouse controls.
The Classic version of the game only supports XInput controllers.
Keyboard controls are also supported, but mouse controls are not supported.

one of the best stories in any medium ever, not to mention the super intricate and addictive gameplay arithmetician and brawler ninja are broken

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 20: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

I didn't think I would like this game at first, but the art style immediately caught my attention. After about an hour of playing, it completely won me over. The main character, the music, and especially my little Chocobo have all become things I genuinely care about. If anything happens to my Chocobo, I'm taking down everything in my path. That said, the game isn't easy. Some encounters require planning, strategy, and a bit of grinding to overcome. Overall, it's been a surprisingly fun and rewarding experience.
Honestly I never leave feedback, but I'm so tired of being milked. I would have been ok around 19euros for such a game, but here it's vastly exagerated, the camera system is horrible and could have been reworked, the map are really small, with a lot of hills, so you basically alwayus have to turn camera around to see what's going on, etc, Mecanics that were ok 20years ago, but if you want to do a remake you can easily fix such things. Camera flip so often it gives me nausea. Nahhhhhhh.
A SQEX game getting updates that not only fix things but add meaningful improvements?? Unheard of. Who really made this game?
Its a fun game full of nostalgia, but at random times when completing tavern missions the game will jsut stop responding, there are still animations happening on screen, but no amount of mouse or controller manipulation will progress teh current screen, mildly annoying unless youve done several stages of battle without saving when this happens, then you just wasted an hour or more of time. Also, the 2 hour window of time to get a refund really hurts on this game, it takes so long before you even get full control of your char then of a team that by the time you do if you dislike the game you are stuck with it.
I've played this twice, once in the 90s and once again 30 years later. While I think its an important title in this genre I think its pretty poor compared to a lot of others in the same category. The systems are unbalanced, the game is very grindy and a lot of the mechanics are bland. My conspiracy theory on it is that a lot of the mechanics were made in the way they were to sell strategy guides, not to be entertaining.
To this day I love the aesthetics of FFT even more than Matsuno's other classics, and it is the game that's once and for all made Hitoshi Sakimoto my absolute favourite video game composer. 28 years after I first played the game, the Cuchulainn fight is one of my fondest gaming memories. I think that the latter half of the story is a bit jumbled, Ovelia's role in the ending is not easy to parse, and the difficulty curve swings from almost unwinnable to unlosable in the blink of an eye (which is typical of Matsuno's game design), but all this reckless open-endedness in game design and storytelling alike only serves to make the experience all the more memorable and unique. I love FFT. This flashy port, though, is worse than it should have been. + The little sound novels have finally been translated and added to the Western release of the game for the first time. Finally! + The trashy PSP bonus content has been expunged. Thank Ajora. That stuff was extremely low quality, dragging the whole experience down. + The new user interface really is quite alright. ~ The English script is the overwritten PSP one. It's far from good. I'd even take l i t t l e m o n e y over it, but there should have been a full retranslation. ~ Voice acting is alright. Some characters are better than others, e.g. I really like Alma's ever-pouty English performance. ~ The upscaled graphics are passable at best. - Additions to the script are often too long and intrusive. Remember how characters used to talk mid-battle and it was fantastic? Now they do it even more! And more and more... and more... and more and more and more... and more and more still. Oh god, Agrias, I get it already, please stop, you're talking in circles, you've already said your piece last turn, now you sound like a Final Fantasy XIII character, Agrias, please, no. Even dead characters pop up to soliloquy. - The additional hard difficulty cracks on "protect the guest" missions and duels. Ok, I can plan around Wiegraf taking two turns in a row, dealing 170 damage every time. But it is much less fun to work around an extremely aggressive Rafa acting first and running into a 260-damage Ultima over 195 max HP. I know, I know, a naked White Mage solves the issue (doesn't it always?), but look. I've been beating Riovanes since 1997 without Auto-Potion and low-HP decoys and now I had to resort to this unexciting nonsense for the first time in decades to get through the fight. Meh. - Why the heck was the soundtrack not orchestrated?
