Fester Mudd: Curse of the Gold - Episode 1

Fester Mudd: Curse of the Gold - Episode 1 is a retro pixel adventure point and click using ScummVM and trying to cash in on Curse of Monkey Island nostalgia. Set in the wild west, click around an solve comedy puzzles. A few problems here. There's no point in trying to "revive" old games like Monkey Island, because they're available and playable today. Releasing a game which looks the same as something 20 years old ignores the point. They would have had better success using modern graphics. The price tag here is way too high, as well. The game series was abandoned after this first chapter, so the story goes nowhere. I can't recommend this.

Great game, sad there's no continuation to it.

Bardzo dobra przygodówka, w starym stylu, choć poziom trudności nie jest już tak wysoki i abstrakcyjny jak bywało w latach dziewięćdziesiątych. Dla jednych będzie to zaleta, a dla innych wada. Humor - jak za dawnych lat, a do tego z głośników dobiega dopasowany i klimatyczny podkład muzyczny. Z niecierpliwością czekam na kolejny odcinek, pomimo informacji wydawcy, że projekt został anulowany i nic więcej już nie powstanie. Jest to jedyna wada tej gry. Nastały czasy, w których większość chce zarabiać... epizodycznie.

When it comes to classic point-and-click adventure games, Fester Mudd knows how to bring back the classics. The only downsides is that it's a short game and the series discontinued. But if you have little cash to spend and want to earn easy achievements, go check out Fester Mudd.

Retro style po całości. Ale chyba episode 2 został tylko w sferze marzeń.

I did not like the protagonist, the scenario or the music. At least put some sound effects into the game. The story itself can't be finished since there won't be anymore episodes. My rating 5/10, not recommended.

This game is a cute little point and click adventure that doesn't take very long to play (and the achievements are relatively easy to get for you completionists.). Still waiting on Episode 2!

An AMAZING game. A truly Lucasfilm/Arts heir, in the best tradition of the genre. It´s a shame and a pity they weren´t able to complete the game because this FIRST episode is a DELIGHTFUL indeed.
