An addictive physics-based vehicle building puzzle game. Build weird and wonderful vehicles using whatever you can find. Master rockets, balloons, parachutes and more. Save as many Keebles as you can, and be quick - the Whale at the End of the World won't wait forever.
Caution! Shovelware on wheels approaching fast... *long fart noise in the distance*
Mediocre. Fine on mobile. But I expect more for 10 dollars on pc.

Keebles is okay. It has an interesting premise that seems like it would be wildly popular but, after playing a while, I can definitely see why not. Here are the details. The Sights There's nothing great to see in this game. You have your basic build-it-and-let-it-go machine building which, in this case, has been Duplo-sized. The Keebles are essentially colored circles with eyes. Nothing wows but I don't think it was necessarily expected to do so. If nothing else, the visuals are perfectly okay for the game. The Sounds Boring soundtrack. It's just some stuff on loop in the background. Loop de Loop The gameplay loop should be fun. Build a vehicle, run the vehicle, modify the vehicle to do better next time. Unfortunately, the use of "gadgets" is a big disruptor and, although they may seem useful at first, you soon find out that meeting your objectives also involves stupid crap such as clicking the puffer at the right time and for the right number of puffs, activating balloons at just the right moment that you won't go slightly left or right of whatever you're trying to reach, parachutes that also have to be timed perfectly to get some Keebles, and plenty of other gadget-related gotcha issues. There is a reason that most games like this do not include things that need to be poked at just the right time, angle, and then still know what you did since each level can take over a minute for your vehicle to trundle through. That's because it's much harder to track what you might have done wrong if you can't recall your every click and exactly when you clicked it and exactly when you clicked to cancel it. It's just one of those that probably wasn't well thought out before adding to the game. The Struggles The game is, overall, pretty easy. To progress to the next level, all you need is to get your vehicle over to the ending. Then you move on from the "whenever, whatever" attitude to trying to get stars, which is a different game entirely. Suddenly you have to get all three Keebles, within a certain amount of time, and using a very limited number of parts. The Bugs (or lack of) I encountered no bugs. The game does have an option to change resolutions and it ran just fine in 2560x1440 The Yarn The only story is evident in the introduction. Build a thing, gather Keebles, get to "great whale." No other plot or worldbuilding is included. The Eff-pee-esses (My system: AMD Ryzen 5 2600, AMD RX 5700XT (2560x1440), 32 GB DDR4, Samsung 960 Evo SSD) 156 FPS. Definitely a lightweight game. Who Would Enjoy This? I don't know. Maybe kids but if they start trying to get all the stars, some kids might start damaging things in frustration. The Cost The $10 list price seems awfully high for what is basically a mobile game on PC. This game goes on sale for under $1 multiple times a year. The Verdict + Building vehicles!... - ... with very few parts available +/- Easy to beat, frustrating to try and master. + Lots of possible configurations... - ...99.999% of them are pointless because all of the levels demand pretty specific stuff It's not horrible but if someone wanted a game where you build custom vehicles, I'd try to find something that looks more engaging rather than recommending this.
I am 32 years old. My ex-wife and I have a daughter together, and we adopted our son together. Both are now 4 years old. When we were going through our separation, I felt lost and unhappy. I was self-destructive. One day, I was so angry with everything spiraling out of control that I punched a concrete wall in a moment of overwhelming emotion. This resulted in breaking my fifth metacarpal in my right hand—the hand I worked with, played games with, and used to carry my children to bed—the hand I desperately needed to ensure I could continue providing. Upon learning the severity of the self-inflicted damage, I became almost suicidal. Keep in mind that just a few months before this, I was the happiest man, with no history of depression or anxiety. I had never experienced anger outbursts, nor was I the type to break down and cry, but I was in a tough situation that truly prevented me from seeing the light on the other side. With nothing better to do, I looked for a game I could play WITH ONE HAND while recovering. Somehow, I stumbled upon this game and read some of the comments. I decided it was worth a try... I must admit I didn't beat the game, nor did I play as much as some of you. In fact, I may have played this game for only a day or two. That being said, after doing so, I had a new joy and hope for life. I managed to leave behind the pain and suffering that had been thrust upon me. I could experience the joy and happiness of other people. I relaxed for 5 ♥♥♥♥ minutes listening to this music, long enough to realize that I would be okay. After realizing this, I turned off the game and went back to work. My hand hurt a lot, but I was motivated. I stopped feeling so sorry for myself and became the father I needed to be at that moment, not the weak boy I was behaving like. Today, I am close friends with the mother of my children. We don't fight, argue, or say hurtful things to each other. We are parents and friends. Now I have 3 children. My third child is, wait, ALSO 4 YEARS OLD. The woman I am with was going through a very similar situation at the time of my separation, and we just unexpectedly stumbled into each other's lives. We have been dating for a year and are very happy together. Moral of the story: you never know what life has in store for you, and if I had given up when all odds were against me, I wouldn't be where I am today. This silly little game helped me realize that. Thank you.
Letztlich krankt Keebles nämlich an mehreren Orten.
Pretty cool Keebles 7/10 Heisen
