Fester Mudd: Curse of the Gold - Episode 1

A bit short (3 hours) but filled with fun! This classic point and click adventure game is the lone survivor of a cancelled trilogy, so sadly you'll never get the full story but you can still enjoy the hilarious dialogues, unlock achievements (some secrets), fill your inventory with a ton of stuff and have some good laughs :) It's really too bad they cancelled the other episodes, because it's a real hidden gem. All the puzzles are logical, the difficulty/player progression is perfect, there's a ton of funny descriptions everywhere.. It totally reminded me of the oldies of that golden era of sierra games, I now have an urge to replay Day of The Tentacles ^^

Jogo é ok para um point and click, a trilha sonora é muito boa. Porém dou nota negativa por não ter continuação e ele ter sido cancelado. Pesquisei e descobri que foi por conta das baixas vendas. Fazer o que né, se jogos desse gênero são tão nichados. Uma pena que esse jogo nunca terá final

Ein wunderbares und witziges Adventure. Super Atmosphäre, tolle Musik und nette Rätsel. Wer Monkey Island usw. gespielt hat, wird dieses Spiel lieben! Bitte, die Serie fortsetzen!!

Episode one out of one(!) of a basic and average point&click adventure game.

Spielwertung 7/10 Eigentlich erklärt sich das Spiel selber im Intro/Trailer: Eine Hommage an alte Adventures. Retro eben. Vermutlich aber auch einfach sehr kleines Entwicklerteam bzw. fast ne Hobbyprogrammierung. Aber das Spiel läuft flüssig, die Grafik ist richtig hart, aber was solls, Menü und Steuerung sind schlicht aber einwandfrei, die Story ist recht witzig und die Rätsel gar nicht mal so leicht wie hier in den Reviews zum Teil angedeutet wurde. Etwas schade ist das unübersichtliche Interface, da man sowieso fast immer nur "Nutzen" braucht, das hätte man etwas Verschlanken können. Auch einige Gegenstände, die nie benutzt werden, sind nicht hilfreich im immer voller werdenden Inventar. Aber ich vermute, dass sind Designentscheidungen in Hinblick auf Episode 2... das vermutlich nie mehr erscheinen wird. Nun ja. Knappe 2 Stunden Spielzeit hatte das Spiel bei mir. Viel Kohle würde ich dementsprechend nicht investieren, aber Spaß hats trotzdem gemacht! ;)

в принципе ничего необычного, кто застал классические квесты LucasArt's. Я не застал, поэтому для меня это необычный и приятный опыт был. Но продолжения не будет, да и игра не ахти, чтобы ждать чего-то великолепного.

Great, funny adventure, in the vein of the first Lucas Arts' ones. Really good humor. Even though it is the first episode of a cancelled series, it's totally worth playing it if you love good old adventure games.

Well, how to review this game on a fair basis? It is a very nice love letter to the good ol' point and click adventures. And I am not talking about the crappy search and click (wannabe) adventures, where you have to find items on the screen that are mentioned at the bottom, no...I mean the really good adventures. Sadly this game was abandoned by the publisher. If you still are interested in an overpriced third of a really nice game, that is mostly scripted that bad, that you get dialogs from the beginning at the end of the episode and without them activated at the right point of the game, you don't get the achievements, then be a charm and spend your money on this fine and unfinished product. Well, I liked it, but thanks to that I am more disappointed about the fact, that this game will NEVER be finished! (The devs should start kickstarter and expand the game to 5-7 episodes, so it is worth for the fans to spend more money on the game!)
