Whether you lean into raw strength, nimble precision, or devastating sorcery, the game supports a wide range of viable and unique builds.

Game still crashes pc on lowest settings. Need's a lot more work. Don't know how things like Crimson Desert and Helldivers functions well on High settings but this game that is zone to zone can't.
this game is great, had some graphics issues on linux with an nvidia gpu initially but the last patch solved em. otherwise I'm enjoying just exploring looting and fighting. 10/10 would recomend

First and foremost, this game looks and runs absolutely amazing. The combat is challenging enough to keep interest, but not so unforgiving that you'll want to put your mouse through the desk. My only issue so far is some of the enemies are able to throw items (Poison/rocks) further than your spells will reach. I would love to see dedicated ranged weapons added to the game to help combat this imbalance. I am very excited to see the future development cycle for this title.
an amazing use of physics and it looks better than most AAA games. Really impressive already
This is my review of Fatekeeper going over optimization, graphics, story, characters, melee combat, spellcasting, alchemy, pricing, and other people's complaints in no particular order. Thanks for reading! Graphics, Optimization, and tone: Beautiful, beautiful game. Looks stunning, and well optimized too. I'm not very far in but the story is mildly interesting, I like the narrators voice but he talks too upbeat. I feel like the setting would do better with a more dark and gritty tone than it has now. I think the story being a bit darker would contrast well with the very beautiful environment, making an interesting dichotomy between the horror of what's going on ands the natural beauty of the land. But I'm not the person/people making this game so who am I to say anything about the artistic vision of the creators. Others complaints, Melee combat, spellcasting: I've seen others complain about combat but I don't agree with their points. I think melee combat feels very good but could use a bit more variety. I would like to see something like Chivalry where you can use the scroll wheel to do stabs and overhead attacks that are faster/slower but do less/more damage respectively. I like that the enemies aren't entirely stupid and do have some sort of tactics, the little grunt guys rush you while the more armored dudes sit a little behind them and attack you, while archers take vantage points and fire from afar. This is all well and good, IF there was a real way to deal with the archers. Maybe it's just because I haven't leveled up my magic enough yet, or maybe I need to use potions more, but my spells do very little damage and cost a very large amount of mana. Firebolt looks very cool, great VFX, but once it hits it seems like I hit them with a lit match damage wise. The basic humanoid archer guys take like 5-6 casts of firebolt and I can only fire 2-3 firebolts before needing to drink a mana potion. Potions, Vials, and Alchemy: Now, on the topic of potions, I enjoy this games freeform alchemy system a lot. Brewing tons of potions and bombs and vials to put on your weapons with the crafting items you find is very fun. It also encourages you to explore this games BEAUTIFUL world for more alchemical ingredients. I like that every ingredient can be put into either a potion to do its effect on you, or put into a vial to put the ingredients effect on your weapon, and I also very much enjoy mixing and matching different effects to make unique potions that I will be assigning my own names to, such as the Melee combat potion (Increased damage, stamina regen, and physical defense in one potion), and others, really the potential is limitless for this system. One thing I think should be added to it though is a way to make custom recipes, name them, and then be able to select them and have it autofill the ingredients instead of having to do it manually every time. Characters: Now this will be the shortest section because I'm not very far into the game. The main guy is some sort of Druid/Sentinel and I like how he is written but he isnt anything special. I don't remember if he is named or not but I don't think he is. Enemies just call him "Druid". I like the talking rat that is your companion. He is actually named, his name is "Kor Guran" From what I understand he used to fill a similar position to us as some kind of sworn protector and Druid/Sentinel before he presumably died and/or turned himself into or reincarnated as a talking rat using Druid magic? I'm not very sure. Maybe I missed something/wasn't listening when it was mentioned, or it just hasn't been revealed yet. The description of his sword the "Blade of the Sentinel" tells us he is a protector and was gifted this sword by a mysterious ancient race called the "Under-dwellers" who were forced underground by some sort of Tyrant and carved massive stone cities that became increasingly nonsensical and grand as religious zealotry of some kind. Thinking of it now I probably should have mentioned all that in the story section but I don't care enough to change it, I've already been writing this for like 30 minutes. All in all, I'd give it a 9.0 at the most and an 8.5 at the least. Don't complain, that's a monster score. P.S. The fact that I can push crates and pots off cliffs by walking into them, and they fall and smash when they hit the cliff face is very satisfying and I'm glad that they put in that minor detail. I said to myself "10/10 game of the year I can push stuff off cliffs and it smashes at the bottom." Obviously hyperbole but I love the attention to detail.
This game was pretty good. The game looks as good or better than the Oblivion remaster and is better optimized than Oblivion. It ran well at high settings and is probably the best looking game I have ever seen. Gameplay: The combat felt more satisfying and more complex than the elder scrolls games which was good. This game needs good combat to be good. I recommend adding in shields and parrying. This would make using one handed weapons be more smooth. The combat always sound a little quiet. When you'd end combat by ripping some guy in half, the character you play grunts a little at the end and that is it. They should add in more noise and grunting and make the feat sound more effortful like Kratos when he rips someone in half, he is yelling the whole time and it is super cinematic. Magic: The magic felt good, I hope they add more in for spells. The telekinesis needs to be ironed out a little. I feel like the lock on wasn't that smooth with grabbing enemies so it was hard to use for anything other than pulling levers. Story: Make the rat talk more! I love that character, I feel like the rat just isn't there when he barely speaks even though it should be on my shoulder. I wish there was more dialogue with playful banter or something. I never really know why I was walking around and kicking people around like I was punting a football. It was fun doing that, but I didn't know what I was doing or why I was doing it. I was just following instructions to go somewhere, I would kill a bunch of guys, Boom mission over. Maybe this early access was just about experiencing game mechanics. Alchemy: This game has huuuuuuge potential for the alchemy. It already is set up really good and it is a fun function to use. Overall: This game was great! Needs a few improvements of course but this has good bones for a great game! I see the potential to be better than Skyrim if they add a little purpose, make the game more cinematic with dialogue and sound design. And make the rat speak more!!! I love that little guy.
