Na rok 2004 to byla neskutečná pecka. Crytek tehdy vytvořil engine, který ždímal tehdejší hardwarové maximum, a ta tropická džungle s azurovým mořem vypadala neskutečně. K tomu přidejte obrovskou volnost v tom, jak projít jednotlivé tábory, a na svou dobu fakt chytrou AI nepřátel, která vás v porostu dokázala solidně ulovit.V rámci celé série ale tenhle první díl dost vyčnívá. Na rozdíl od všech novějších pokračování, kde se člověk toulá otevřeným světem, čistí základny a loví zvěř, je jednička čistě lineární příběhová linka. Jdete prostě pevně danou cestou dopředu a nedá se dělat v podstatě nic jiného než plnit hlavní úkoly.Samozřejmě to mělo své mouchy. Brutální obtížnost v pozdějších fázích hry a hlavně příchod mutantů (Trigenů) v druhé polovině příběhu, což dost lidem (včetně mě) trochu zkazilo ten původní parádní pocit z realistického plížení mezi žoldáky. V době vydání poctivých 8/10.

Very different from the other Far Cry games, but a lot of fun regardless. Very difficult, though - it really forces you to use all your tools at hand to come up with a solution for the problem at hand. Worth playing at least once as a farcry fan
I have a feeling that Crytek while redesigning the X-Isle into Far Cry we all know and love forgot about balancing the difficulty settings, meaning that on the max difficulty you will die a hundred times because of an enemy firing faster than you do. And don't get me started on ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Trigens or Mutants - these ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ are literal bullet sponges and may still be kickin' after devouring an entire M4 mag, while they can kill you fully-armored in 2 hits. And "Fat Boys" are even bigger ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ - tanky to the point of absurd and spam you with rockets, especially indoors. In one of the game's levels you even spawn with them already waiting for you, which will make unprepared players even more frustrated. Overall the game did not age well. You can improve the experience with a few patches but still it's ultimately a glorified tech demo, especially when you take on the consideration the state in which the game is sold on Steam - the lastest patch v1.40 introduces the infamous see-through tents AI bug, which makes the first levels frustrating. GOG version fortunately includes the necessary patch.

Eskiden oyunları bitirme kültürü neredeyse 0 olduğu için sanırım abiler, ilerleyen bölümlere oyuncular zaten gelmez yapay zekayı da zorluğu da siktir edelim, demişler. İyi yrrmı yemişsiniz. God mode'da ölüm sayacı var ve son bölümde özellikle 35 kere öldüğüm gözüküyor. Mekana gireli 1 dk oldu amınakoyim üstüme 6 tane sikkafa roket atıyor ardı ardına dörder tane. Oyunun başı ayrı fecahat, çadır arkasından duvar arkasından ölebiliyorsunuz. Mükemmelliyetçiliğiniz var ve eski de olsa oyniyim tüm seriyi diyorsanız sizin amk açın izleyin anlarsınız ztn bokluğu hikaye fln da yok. Oyunun sonunda nolduğuna dair gram fikrim yok. Şu günde asla oynanmaz ölmüş.
Чёткая игрушка, на современном железе более - менее сносно работает. Перед запуском игры поменяйте раскладку клавиатуры на английский, потом ещё спасибо скажете. Ну и фиксы не забудьте накатить, а то палатки станут вашими злейшими врагами)
It’s basically an arcade-style shooter, and the *Far Cry* series didn't really come into. Its own until the third game, but I still enjoyed the original visuals and the shooting mechanics.

The best Far Cry out there constructed by Crytek studios. Amazing sci-fi shooter which holds up even to this date. The AI is slightly clunky and overpowered, although the overall story and gameplay is truly spectacular. Pure nostalgia.
