BEST GAME EVER
beautiful environment, Joseph Seed is not bad just spoiled that's it if you're a completionist it's a ridiculous play : especially killing 5000 zombies where u r given 5 maps each barely spawns 100 zombies each is so boring to grind all. there's a Afk method to get it but even it takes 5-7 hours solid :( overall good game , loved the ending
This is one of the 4* Ubi games that I'd consider great games. The story has some thought provoking themes, the open world is very fun to explore, and the gameplay is very basic but it is absolutely the best of the basic. I absolutely recommend this to people who are just looking for an action-movie like gameplay experience that doesn't require too much thought. With that being said, however, this is a Ubisoft game, so it has some pretty boneheaded mistakes: it can be janky at times, it is riddled with ludonarrative dissonance, the writing can feel stiff, and the world can feel empty, not to mention this game came out it what I'd consider the "graphics uncanny valley" of gaming where the graphics are too good to have some stylized charm like New Vegas but too bad to look realistic so it's just left looking ugly whenever the lighting is less than stellar or if you look to closely at details. A lot of Ubisoft games fall into this category. Despite all this, I'd still say Far Cry 5 is worth playing if you are a fan of the open world action game style run into the ground by Ubisoft; this is personally what I'd consider to be the best Far Cry game. *the other 3 are Watch Dogs 2, Black Flag, and Ghost Recon Wildlands if you were curious

I telepathically ordered a bear to kill 3 people simultaneously. It was great. Sucks that they got rid of knife takedowns here. 9/10.

⚠️ SPOILER WARNING – Ending discussed below ⚠️ I spent 59 hours in Far Cry 5, and for most of that time I genuinely enjoyed it. The story (until the ending) was engaging, the missions were fun, and I especially liked the exploration and climbing sections where you have to find your own path by following ropes and the environment. Liberating Hope County and watching people reclaim their homes made it feel like my actions really mattered. Then the ending threw all of that away. After spending nearly 60 hours helping people and taking down Eden's Gate, everything is destroyed by nuclear bombs. It made all my progress feel pointless, as if none of it mattered. The final confrontation also felt illogical. Throughout the game we kill hundreds of cult members without hesitation, but when we finally reach the man responsible for everything, we suddenly refuse to kill him. If Joseph had escaped during the chaos, I honestly think that would have been a better ending. My other frustration was the limited supplies. Even on Easy difficulty I constantly ran out of ammo, and the limits on ammunition, medkits, and armor made combat feel frustrating instead of fun. Overall, I really enjoyed the gameplay, the world, and most of the story. But after 59 hours, the ending left me feeling like everything I had accomplished had been erased. That's a huge disappointment, and it honestly made me lose interest in buying the other Far Cry games.
