Cheap. As usual, the game is far from what is shown in the video. Everything is lying. Everything is crooked. Bugs. I got stuck in the bushes and could not get out. Oh my god. Delete :(
Is this literally a PC ported PS2 game or something? The entire game's quality is that of the PS2 era, all the way down to the dialogue.. No windowed borderless No music volume control Can't skip the slow AF logo intro Clunky AF loading screen Can't hear the lady in the intro scenematic over helicopter noise Subtitles have a terrible low readability font Lady in the helicopter wasn't wearing her seatbelt.. criminal.. especially given she's in a blatantly helicopter crash coded scene... lol Loads slow AF for PS2 style graphics Can of sardines + water = energy bar... + beer = Energy Bar + lmfao Voice volume is low AF and lacks volume control... Bottom tier NPC ass dialogue...
I don't know how this game has a very positive. It runs like ♥♥♥♥ and I have a *very* good computer, I get at most 40 fps and it makes the whole thing headache inducing. The motion blur or Depth of field or whatever it is is set very high and it makes the headaches even worse. The weapons aren't very satisfying to use as enemies take different amounts of hits to take down. Sometimes one shot to the head works, other times you have to hit them multiple times in order to take them down. Someone was saying the crossbow is awesome but it's the worst crossbow I've ever played with. The aim is completely off from the crosshair, about an inch above where the front sights lie, and the drop on the arrow is ridiculous, as if the arrows weigh 100 pounds and just fall right after you fire it. You have a range of maybe 20 feet on a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ *crossbow*. You're supposed to take out enemies silently with it, but it's absolutely useless. Speaking of that, the weapons are just all over the place, and they aren't *loud* enough to alert the other enemies. You can shoot everyone and they wont hear you, but if you are 100 feet away and are in their sights you will get spotted RIGHT AWAY. It's awful to try and play stealthily. They also have the issue of AI having immaculate accuracy with every shot hitting you. If you don't kill them the first moment, they will get shots off you and you'll have to use a medkit every time. Thank goodness you can loot them and each has a medkit to give you, otherwise the game would be literally impossible. A little bit of a patch on a main gameplay issue I guess, just give practically infinite health to the player and I guess it wont be a problem! It's jank unreal, most of the mechanics don't work. Apparently you can unleash tigers that are in their cages and they'll go and attack enemies, but they ignore you as you're a part of the tribe that is friends with the animals. You can't open the cage with your hands by the way, even if you punch or knife, you HAVE to shoot the cage, it opens, and the tigers literally just stand there. Even if an enemy is right in front of them, they do nothing. They are broken. I've played jank before, I love bad jank games but this is just frustrating and boring and a lot of the mechanics simply don't work or are made to be annoying. The crafting system isn't very good either, it's basically there to make energy bars out of food, water and beer of all things, and then making ammo and that's about it. It's the most basic thing you can make and it's boring. You have to buy supplies from a trader because I haven't found any of the resources out in the field so crafting is purely based on how much money you have, as far as I can tell. Again, in the hour and a half of play, I didn't find *any* resources out in the world. The world itself is jank and barely holding together. In the very opening cave, there is a path that leads out to under the map. It's a cave in a mountain and you can just leave through a cave exit and find yourself under everything, and you have to sort of jump up and forwards to get back *into* the normal map, through the ground. I found a bunch of caves, and there are MANY places where this happens where you are left underneath the main map or looking up and seeing something untextured and see-through. Also a LOT of untextured locations where you can just see through places that you shouldn't. I don't know, I know it's early access but this feels *too undercooked* for even early access. It's honestly just not that good. It sucks cuz it looks like a lot of effort was put into the game but at the end of the day, when things don't work, are boring and are frustrating, I don't know what else to do. It's just not fun to play, especially with the FPS issues. It's not a good looking game yet it runs like it's the new Battlefield game with ultra realistic graphics. I got it for 10 dollars on sale, and honestly I think that's the right price for it. 15 is too high, but there *is* a lot of things to do in it. There's a massive island to play on and will give you lots of content, however I don't know how much of that is actually worth playing. If you really like jank and can handle some issues with the game actually running, maybe you'll like it. I certainly didn't.
Amazing how alive the world feels. Dynamic AI, random events, and weather keep things interesting. Freeing tigers and letting them wreck enemies is pure gaming joy.
Puzzles are actually fun, not just filler. Big surprise. To get out into the open world you need to find water and two sets of canned food in the cave, create two energy bars from them + get ore from the girl and exchange it with the merchant. You will find one set of canned food in the room with the girl on a high platform (you need to climb the stair), and the second set in the merchant's room.
I cannot even get into the game because my mouse wont appear to click anything. When I tried window mode I was able to click the windows bar at the top and then click the screen for new game. When it began the first scene for the game it looked like complete TRASH! I wasted my money for an unplayable game. Never have I ever had such a frustratingly bad experience with a game on steam. This game looked so good too. I should have taken the negative reviews as truth. Usually people are too critical or it is their pc set up, but in this case... the negative reviews need to be taken to heart. Dont waste your money. I am so disappointed
Combat feels balanced. It’s not too easy, not too punishing – just right.
The visuals blew me away for an indie title. Crafting feels balanced, combat is satisfying, and the sense of progression is rewarding. Solid 9/10 from me.
Crafting is important, but I hate how inventory management feels limited and awkward.
Cool game overall, but man, some animations look stiff. Still, the gameplay is fun, and I love the crossbow variety. Needs a little polish, but worth playing.
