Злодеи Семейка Сидов — лучшее, что есть в игре. Джозеф Сид ("Отец") пугает не криками, а ледяным спокойствием и харизмой. Каждый из его помощников (Джон, Джейкоб, Фэйт) проработан и запоминается. Главная проблема — ваш персонаж немой, из-за чего он теряется на фоне таких ярких антагонистов. Геймплей Формула не изменилась: открытый мир, захват аванпостов, охота, рыбалка, зачистка вражеских территорий. Это всё ещё увлекательно, но Ubisoft не привнесла ничего действительно нового. Впервые в серии появились самолёты — летать интересно, но управление оставляет желать лучшего. Лучшее нововведение — система наёмников Guns for Hire. Медведь по кличке Чизбургер, который разрывает врагов, и пилот Ник Рай с поддержкой с воздуха делают игру веселее. Главный минус Система "Шкала сопротивления" работает против игрока. Когда вы заполняете её, выполняя побочные задания, игра принудительно усыпляет вашего персонажа и заставляет проходить сюжетную миссию. Это может случиться в любой момент — даже когда вы летите на самолёте или штурмуете аванпост. Это бесит и разрушает погружение. Кооператив Игра раскрывается полностью только в кооперативе. Штурмовать аванпосты с другом, летать на самолётах и устраивать хаос — вот ради чего стоит покупать Far Cry 5. Но есть нюанс: прогресс по сюжету сохраняется только у хоста. Друг получит очки навыков и деньги, но миссии придётся перепроходить в своём мире. Итог Плюсы: Красивый и живой мир Монтаны Харизматичные и проработанные злодеи Забавные наёмники (особенно чизбургер) Весёлый кооператив Минусы: Немой протагонист Принудительные сюжетные миссии Однотипные побочные задания Если у вас есть друг для совместной игры — берите не глядя. Far Cry 5 is a beautiful chore. the story missions on their own are the exact length they could be before I would have started getting annoyed, if i had to play even 3 more i would have started getting bored, side missions were not even remotely worth considering doing. as a Montanan, this game is gorgeous and it absolutely a good representation of the nature in the western half of the state. the story is okay, 2/3 of the cult leaders are interesting, but the ending just blows either way and no matter what you kinda did everything for nothing. Pretty annoying to set up an antagonist then not let you deal with them in any way to set up an even worse sequel that lets a different protagonist kill them. if you want a beautiful but generic shooter with repetitive gameplay, FC5 is for you. I had to take an 8 year break between replays to feel ready to go at it again, and frankly i dont think i ever need to play this again. good time with a friend though

this the the ONLY story game i've ever fully played through
i'm writing this review as I wait for the game to connect to something it wont, just so I can access the in game shop to buy more arrows. It literally locks the screen for up to 20 seconds trying to connect to an online shop or something. You also will get infinite notifications to things that don't exist anymore (live events). Good game, but Ubisoft. The forced story beats are ok, can be forgiven because the rest is pretty good. Amazing stealth mechanics/minigames, better than Assassin's Creed but worse than Cyberpunk 2077.
