Honestly the game is good for achievements, and has some nice background art. But for this price tag you're getting a "game" that has a terrible font, no options menu, and provide an experience you can get for free online. Just look up "Random Word Typing Test" in Google and you'll save yourself $14 USD.
TBH I can see this game being very fun, I played it because I got it for free and wanted to complete the achievements on it (which is just playing each level 39 times) but it is a good way to train on your writing skills and honestly, I would recommend it as long as you get it for free 4/10
Falling Words is a small indie typing game developed by Mikhail Melnikov and published by SA Industry that turns the basic act of typing into a fast-paced reflex challenge. Instead of presenting a complex story or large gameplay systems, the game focuses entirely on improving keyboard speed and accuracy through a simple but effective arcade-style mechanic. By combining typing practice with elements of time pressure and score chasing, the game attempts to make what is normally considered a learning activity feel like a competitive challenge. The core gameplay revolves around a mechanic in which words slowly descend from the top of the screen toward the bottom. Each word must be typed correctly before it reaches the bottom boundary. As long as the player types the word accurately and presses enter in time, the word disappears and the player earns points. If too many words fall past the bottom of the screen without being completed, the session ends. This structure creates a constant sense of urgency that forces players to type quickly while maintaining accuracy. Although the premise is extremely simple, the gameplay becomes more intense as the session progresses. At the beginning of a round, only a few words appear on the screen at a manageable pace. However, as time goes on, more words begin to fall simultaneously and the speed gradually increases. This escalation requires players to balance quick thinking with careful typing. Even a brief moment of hesitation can cause multiple words to accumulate, making the screen feel increasingly chaotic. The game functions both as entertainment and as a training tool for improving typing ability. Because the player must repeatedly type words under pressure, the game naturally encourages better familiarity with the keyboard. Players quickly learn to keep their eyes on the screen rather than looking down at the keyboard, which is an important skill for increasing typing speed. The repetitive nature of the gameplay can help develop muscle memory for common letter combinations and word structures. Another key element of Falling Words is the performance tracking system that records the player’s results after each session. At the end of a round, the game displays statistics such as typing speed, accuracy percentage, and the total number of words completed. These statistics provide useful feedback for players who want to improve their typing performance. Over time, players can compare their results and measure how their skills have progressed with practice. The game includes several difficulty levels that allow players to adjust the challenge to their skill level. On the easiest setting, the falling words move slowly and tend to be short and simple. This mode is ideal for beginners who want to practice basic typing skills without feeling overwhelmed. Higher difficulty levels introduce faster word speeds and longer words, which significantly increases the challenge. As the pace accelerates, players must type rapidly while maintaining accuracy to prevent the screen from filling with unfinished words. One interesting feature of the game is its use of large word dictionaries. The game draws words from extensive language databases, which ensures that players encounter a wide variety of vocabulary during each session. Because of this variety, the gameplay rarely feels repetitive in terms of the words themselves. The constant appearance of different words forces players to rely on genuine typing skill rather than memorizing patterns. The inclusion of global leaderboards adds a competitive aspect to the experience. Players who achieve high typing speeds and maintain strong accuracy can submit their results to online rankings. Seeing their name appear on the leaderboard can motivate players to continue practicing in order to achieve even better scores. This competitive system transforms the otherwise solitary activity of typing practice into a challenge where players compete indirectly with others around the world. Visually, Falling Words adopts a very minimalistic design. The interface is clean and uncluttered, focusing primarily on displaying the falling words clearly on the screen. There are no elaborate graphics or animated environments, which helps keep the player’s attention focused entirely on the task of typing. The simplicity of the design ensures that players can easily read each word and react quickly without unnecessary distractions. The sound design follows the same minimalist philosophy as the visuals. Sound effects provide basic feedback when a word is completed successfully or when a round ends, but there is little emphasis on dramatic audio elements. Background sounds and music remain subtle so that they do not interfere with concentration. This understated approach helps maintain the player’s focus on the core mechanic of typing. Because the game focuses on a single mechanic, the overall gameplay experience remains consistent from start to finish. There are no additional modes, story elements, or major gameplay changes introduced over time. For some players, this simplicity may lead to repetition after extended play sessions. The game does not attempt to introduce complex mechanics or variety beyond the increasing speed of falling words. However, the straightforward design also makes the game very accessible. Players can start a session immediately without learning complicated rules or systems. Each round lasts only a few minutes, making the game suitable for short practice sessions. This quick accessibility allows players to use the game as a regular typing exercise without needing to commit long periods of time. In many ways, Falling Words functions more like an interactive training program than a traditional video game. Its main goal is to help players improve their typing ability through repeated practice in a dynamic environment. The arcade-style format adds excitement to the process, turning typing practice into a challenge where speed and accuracy are constantly tested. Overall, Falling Words is a simple but effective typing game that transforms a practical skill into an engaging reflex challenge. While it may lack the depth and variety found in larger games, it succeeds in delivering a focused experience centered on improving keyboard proficiency. Players who enjoy skill-based challenges or who want a lightweight way to practice typing may find the game to be a surprisingly addictive tool for sharpening their speed and accuracy on the keyboard. Rating: 6/10
A good idea that allows you to increase your computer skills, a game that teaches you to write quickly by learning the keyboard, this will be needed in the future
