About
Factory Town 2 is a game about building a thriving tropical village, automating item production with conveyor belts, trains, and catapults, and feeding a giant volcano in exchange for super powers.
You start out on an uninhabited island in the middle of the ocean. After harvesting some resources you can build houses, shops, roads, and factories. This will attract new villagers, who can do your tasks for you! They'll buy the things you make, and you can use that income to upgrade your buildings and expand further.
As your economy grows, you'll need to solve bottlenecks and optimize supply chains using roads, bridges, trains, conveyor belts, and other automated delivery systems. Keep everyone's stats full by supplying them with food, water, clothing, luxuries, and other goods, and your tiny village will grow into a metropolis stretching across multiple islands!
All of this is happening under the watchful eye of a powerful but friendly volcano deity. By feeding items into the volcano, you can gain its favor and it will reward you with new recipes, technology, and upgrades. The volcano can even summon new islands from the ocean floor that you can use to expand your town when you need more space.
A day/night cycle, volumetric water physics, dozens of new items, overhauled town simulation, a controllable avatar and new transportation gadgets like catapults and ziplines offer fans of the original game a fresh and massively improved experience.
Dig trenches and place dams to control the flow of water from springs in the mountains down to your farms and reservoirs to ensure they are properly hydrated. Use waterwheels and windmills to turn drive shafts that can boost food and mineral processing power, or generate electricity that flows through power lines to run refrigerators or furnaces.
Produce dozens of different items including tropical drinks, pastries, ice cream, cooked meals, coffee, clothes, jewelry, books, medicine, and potions. Each item has its own set of worker-boosting stats, so you'll have to choose the best items to make based on what resources you have and the needs of your town.
As always, you can relax and build with no stress or fear of failure, since there are no harsh penalties or time pressure to punish players for experimenting.

I love it
If you enjoy automation, logistics, or just watching cute little villagers run around a thriving island economy, Factory Town 2: Paradise is an absolute gem. I dove in through the demo without ever playing the original game, and I was hooked so quickly that I went back and bought the first game immediately. Over 100 hours later, I am fully obsessed! The Gameplay Experience Unlike traditional top-down factory builders, you control an avatar on the ground to interact with the world, but you can seamlessly switch to a bird’s-eye view when it’s time to design and expand your factory layout. The game loop is incredibly rewarding: Island Expansion: You start small on an island, but as you craft increasingly complex recipes for your villages, you unlock new islands and watch your empire grow massive. Fun Logistics: You get access to trains, ships, and ziplines to move resources around, making transport both functional and fun to watch. Fully Autonomous Potential: Setting up fully automated supply chains to handle intricate craft recipes feels immensely satisfying. My current factory is an absolute chaotic disaster with a million things happening at once, but that’s half the fun! Replayability & Stress-Free Vibe What really makes the game shine is its chill, relaxing atmosphere. Zero Stress: There are no enemies, threats, or danger of death. You can sit back, build at your own pace, and enjoy watching your cute little village come to life. High Replay Value: These games are designed so you don't get everything perfect on your first try. Once you finish a campaign or hit a wall, you realize how much better you could organize things, prompting you to restart, apply what you learned, and build an even cleaner setup. Room for Improvement (Cons) Since the game is currently in Early Access, there are a few rough edges: Lack of Explanation: Systems like belt management and power management aren't explained very clearly, leaving you to muddle through trial and error. Water Management: Managing water felt overly tedious—I really hope to see this streamlined and made easier in future updates. Final Verdict Even with over 100 hours logged, I feel like I’ve barely scratched the surface of everything there is to create. Factory Town 2: Paradise is a super fun, insanely cute, and deeply engaging factory builder with huge potential as it continues through Early Access. If you are into factory games—or just want a relaxing, cozy management game to lose track of time in—I highly recommend picking this up!

Chill, but deep, automation/factory game. I can see playing it a few hundred hours.
If you have played Factory Town 1 (FT1), then you know what to expect going into Factory Town 2 (FT2). This game takes your base building automation game and makes it completely casual. Which is a nice change of pace. There's no real penalty for building and then removing that building as you get refunded materials for removing it. Making this game very laid back and enjoyable. If you liked FT1, you can expect the same experience here but it's done differently. This feels like a true sequel to a very enjoyable game. There's enough here to keep you playing and it's different enough from FT1 to feel like a new game. I highly recommend this game.
It's good. I don't enjoy it as much as Factory Town as I don't feel I have the same direct control over the population however that doesn't make it not good, just my personal taste. So but it!
Love the first game! This one is also great but I am still getting used to some of the new mechanics! Great job!
Lovely game and a huge improvement over the first (even though the first was already good).
