About
Cut down hordes of enemies automatically in Nomad Idle, a spin-off of Nomad Survival. Engage in an expansive storyline, make impactful decisions, and grow stronger through various gameplay features that gradually unlock as you progress.
Nomad Idle is an idle game with a defined end and is not designed to be endless. However, that does not mean the game is short or lacks depth. In Nomad Idle, you can expect to have access to the following as you play through the game and unlock more features:
Level up and earn Stat Points which may be distributed within 7 unique Stats, allowing you to create a build.
Discover, craft, and upgrade Equipment in order to make yourself stronger.
Conjure Summons to aid you in battle.
Select Passive Skills to be automatically used in battle, further defining your build.
Choose a Character, defining your active abilities and special perks for your playthrough.
Nomad Idle is an idle game, meaning that it mostly plays on its own. Your character moves and attacks enemies all on their own, but it can be played actively by making use of character-specific skills and abilities. Playing actively in this way is entirely optional and not mandatory, but can be effective in speeding up your progress or help you overcome challenges.

The game is slow and pointless. The developers didn't even have the common sense to give it offline progress. You basically have to run it in the background, and it takes eternity to run itself. You really don't feel that your input on the game does anything. It's just a monotonous tasteless game that plays itself. I'm not pleased with it.
Was fine for the first maybe 10-20 hours. Then it just slows down to a crawl, and isn't that fun anymore. I really tried to force myself to continue, just to get the rest of the achievements, but I don't think I'll get them.
finished in 280 hours, here is my two cents:
The Good
Overall this is fun idle game especially at the start with good music and graphics and with fun stuff happening on the screen. ➕ good idle game (balance etc.) in early hours / days ➕ I like the fact the stats/skills etc. are modifiable during gameplay so you can experiment when things get tough ➕ great music ➕ has audio-off when game not in focus feature (this should be mandatory for all idle games) ➕ nice graphics ➕I usually don't like prestige systems in most idle games, I enjoyed the ascension here ➕ suprisingly good writing although very verbose and story is meh (but you don't install idle game for the story so who cares)
The Bad
There unfortunately are some problems ➖unballanced heroes. Some are great, some are actively trying to commit suicide ➖unballanced skills I think. Many of them seem useless, it took me lot of experimentation to arrive at useful combination that helped me to get through difficult stages ➖I think the main stats (STR, DEX,...) are much less important than equipment levels, it feels unbalanced ➖I did not analyze it but it seemed to me that creature wingmans are weak. Although I found one talisman that can be equiped by them essential in later stages. ➖this game is so idle you can hardly help your hero when you are actively playing. Most idle games have a system where active player gains some big advantages. Here you can just stare at the screen (with some exceptions for some heroes) and that is annoying in later stages where there are very difficult levels ➖ cursor bugs and other technical problems - when the game runs (at least on my system) for several hours, the cursor disappears, there are focus problems (as if game is confused and does not know if it has a focus) etc.
The Ugly
Although the game is fun in the beggining, the more you play the more it gets annoying. To the point I was thinking about giving it thumbs down as in later stages the game turns into suffering simulator mainly thanks to poor design around material rewards and their farming ☠️ extreme grinding in later stages. You just need to let it run for hours and days to get to the end, you cannot help it to go somehow faster. There are 3 achievements that mean just "I did let it run for days in background" ☠️ extremely poor material rewards structure and everything around it. Materials are main currency in the game and equipment levels are super-important but to upgrade especially higher tiers of equipment is damn annoying chore for many reasons ☠️ overall in later stages the game is just trying to get you to let it run for as much time as possible without no reason and no meaningful gameplay
Very fun idle game masquerading as an rpg-like auto-shooter. Don't be fooled by how it looks, this is not an rpg or an auto-shooter, it is an idle game. Your character moves, shoots, and casts abilities on their own, with your only interaction being buying upgrades and MAYBE clicking chests on the ground (the chests don't give much). If you're looking for something to "play" on your other monitor while you do something else, this is a great game for that. It has a lot of depth, but does a good job of introducing new menus and mechanics in a way that prevents them from being overwhelming. It also has a story that took me about 50 hours to get through. The story isn't super substantive, but it's enough to give you short term goals that you're constantly progressing towards. In other words, it's the perfect amount of story for a game like this.
6/10, nothing particularly fun about this one.
It's a surprisingly pretty idler, but the mechanics are very bland and basic even for an idler. In the first four hours, the only real choice you're presented with is what zone to farm. You get gear, but every piece of gear you get is always equipped - four sets of armor? no prob! Normally in an idler there's at least some comparison of things and to choose a better outcome - not here, you just progress down the path and reset. The few choices you have don't make that much of a difference to overall outcome. Yes there's ascensions and a few different classes, but it's mostly just autoplay the game. There are so many better idlers, I can't recommend this one unless you've played all of the others. 4/10
