About
Be the hero in your own cinematic epic of action, tension and terror. A mysterious paramilitary force infiltrates a multi-billion dollar aerospace compound, taking hostages but issuing no demands. The government responds by sending in a Special Forces team only to have them obliterated. Live footage of the massacre shows an inexplicable wave of destruction tearing the soldiers apart. With no other recourse, the elite F.E.A.R. (First Encounter Assault Recon) team is assembled to deal with the extraordinary circumstances. They are given one simple mission: Evaluate the threat and eliminate the intruders at any cost.
Extraction Point kicks off where the original game ended – with a bang. As the helicopter which the F.E.A.R. team is on attempts to leave the vicinity, it instead winds up crashing. The F.E.A.R. team is thus forced to seek out an alternate extraction point, all the way battling the now free Alma and her paranormal minions across a destroyed city.
As the first F.E.A.R. team and Delta Force fight for control of the situation, a second F.E.A.R. team is sent in to shed some light on Armacham Technology Corporation's (ATC) dark past. As a member of a secondary F.E.A.R. team, you are brought in to discover more information regarding the secret project at the ATC facilities. The multiplayer component for this expansion is no longer available.

13 on sale2 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 2 “not sold” markets are read from the Steam price pass of Sep 7: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price in those. The 13 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

RIP Monolith
It's definitely showing its age but the combat was really fun.
Good story, but on normal settings still pretty challenging game
Buen juego, buena trama y entretenido
The best of Monolith. An absolutely classic FPS for mouse and keyboard players (most of my playtime was offline). This is the only game in the F.E.A.R. series worth playing. Very immersive enemy A.I. because of their frequent communication/call outs to one another. One of only two games with slow-mo mechanics I actually enjoy (the other being Max Payne), partially because of the impressive physics and particle effects. Also a very artistic use of lighting and dreadful atmosphere makes the game's visuals hold up today.
One of the best games I've ever played in my entire life, and I mean it.
This iconic game is perfect , the dreadful aesthetic, the creepy vibes and atmosphere, the lightning of the LithTech Jupiter EX engine, the sometimes realistic and sometimes goofy physics, the tactical power fantasy action and gunfights in sections of the game, the variety of weapons you get to kill and turn your enemies into an explosion of gibs and blood with it's cinematic slow-mo, the unsettling audio design that's made to build tension, the sudden unpredictable terrifying hallucinations that you get and see, the supernatural dreadful horrifying narrative with It's environmental storytelling and It's own intelligent and unique AI that is very ahead of It's time that makes the enemies feel so much more human compared to other games (which is what the game is also mostly known for) along with many many many other things are what makes this very intense psychological game a timeless, unique masterpiece.
HOWEVER...
(this could count as a disclaimer) During my playthrough with the main base game that worked quite well with it's very good optimization for a 2005 game, the multiplayer did not work sadly, maybe unless you maybe did some searching here and there on the internet, which isn't very convenient, considering they could have tried to fix the multiplayer, not only that, but the expansions (or DLC) that are included when buying the base game, which are "F.E.A.R.: Extraction Point" and "F.E.A.R.: Perseus Mandate" gave me this error on startup: "security module cannot be activated" Error 8016, which I haven't found a fix for it yet, even after trying Run as Administrator or Compatibility mode, it gave me the same error, even though it only happened to me, I'm not sure if It's happening to anybody else or not other than the ones who also wanted to fix this error and posted a discussion about it. Also.. easily one of the other drawbacks of the game is that some maps could seem a bit copy-pasted, with the boring office layout that tends to be full of re-used assets, and towards the endgame levels the enemies can feel "bullet spongy" along with some sections that can feel quite frustrating. But even with all the downsides that the game has, this game still shines for It's strengths and merits, I will always fully recommend this game and it's expansions (incase you manage to play them one way or another) with all my heart and soul as it will always be a must-play in my eyes. 10/10.
