Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.43/day in the week to Aug 10 → 0.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Shin Megami Tensei Old School / 10 AGAIN
FOE's not giving xp was annoying but it was a good game otherwise.

树2比起树1多了好多莫名其妙的机制啊 比如挖矿会爆怪 也没有告诉你一开始要对话商人才买线
Feels like a massive step backward from the first game. Etrian Odyssey 2 is not at all a bad game. It would actually be 'good' if this was the first game in the series, but unfortunately it wasn't. And it is because there is a first game acting as a measuring yard to this game that is why it slides into a not recommend for me. But first, the positive. The fact that the guild is more involved with the townpeople and them having more story with the Guild is a great motivator for gameplay. There are a lot of interesting characters and substory that makes up for your Guild being silent insert characters which is a great improvement on the first game. Music is also great, as per usual. And the dungeons are beautifully rendered, no problems there. But, here's the problems that really weight down the experience. First, the balance in the gameplay. By removing EXP gains from FOEs enemies, forcing the player to engage with the puzzle and punishing them for engaging with the difficult enemy takes away player choice that was a vital component of the game. You want player to choose to confront or loop around, and award them sufficiently for any choices that they made. Because if you do not reward them, then you take away the fun from trying to sequence break, test builds and grind for levels. Second, the new classes. It is understandable that the game tries to fix the severely underpowered class from the 1st game and nerfed the classes that became too strong in that one. But the balance have been flipped so severely that half the classes from the first game are unusable. Alchemists have their TP cost goes up so high that 4 spells casted would empty their tanks, getting players to prefer the Gunner for their efficiency in doing decent attack damage as well as having that elemental coverage that was the Alchemist's niche. War Magus can both heal and buff, rendering the medic and the troubadour useless. And Ronin are so strong now that Landsknetch is not even a consideration. Third and finally, the enemies have had their HP buffed to incredible level, making the fights artificially long and adding onto the resource management problems from TP pools that limited utility of some of the classes. There are better EO games. EO1 is better than this game, despite its own problems. EO3, I am told, is a better game by far, so I am looking forward to playing that. And with 2 other games that are superior to this one, there is really no reason to play this unless it is for completion's sake.
like the first game, its challenging but fun, playing with classes + teams is a blast and finishing the maps for the floors is satisfying!!! also floor 23 in this game ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ sucks i hate it it made me wanna commit die. other than that tho i had lotsa fun with this game
etrian odyssey 1 but done worse, somehow. talking about the game itself, not the quality of the port - this is on the same level as 1 considering they are... fundamentally the same game. i guess just play 1 or alternatlvely don't play either of them? i do appreciate that the game was ported off the DS at the very least!

This one game was the best experience for me replaying the origins collection on steam, very fun game with tbf barely any balance to it, you are an absolute demon from the get go and that give you a lot of freedom, grinding was also super easy for money and exp, as the others two games of the origin collection the game never truly get difficult it doesnt give tons of option but still a decent amounts of them that i had experienced prior to playing on steam and all of them felt good, in fact good enough to make it so from all the franchise EO2 (and EO2U but it's fairly different) has been my favorite since forever now. definitly a recommendation from me
