Dimensionals

As of Dec 3rd, 2025 this is a painstakingly discovered workaround that should allow anyone who has a copy of Dimensionals to operated it, despite the missing responses from devs and Steam's inability to help. My process is detailed here, along with my suppositions of what made Dimensionals work. This is by no means a sales pitch to pay full price for a game that is unsupported, but it is a workaround for anyone who does want to enjoy the game in its current state. With that aside... here we go, and good luck! 1) My first step was to disable my internet connectivity, restarted steam in offline mode, then started Dimensionals. -- This step might work if you simply disable the internet connection, see below. 2) Once the game boots up the "Play" button should turn yellow/gold. Click "Play" then accept the conditions about cloud saves that asks you to press yes 5 times, and do so. 3) Once in the game, I had to play the tutorial (my first time playing it was after the game no longer being available). I believe that you have to play a level of the campaign, or something else that forces the save to occur. I've been unable to wipe the save and try again to test further (I restarted the game after finishing the tutorial, and it made me repeat the tutorial when I launched it again). -- Note: When I finished the tutorial the second time I played 2 scenarios in the campaign, played the roguelite mode, the game crashed (due to a bug), and when I restarted the game (still offline) it restarted me from that point in the battle. 4) After that I could close down the game, and Dimensionals would load and maintain my progress. Once the game has gotten past the main menu, internet connectivity can be restored without affecting gameplay (to my testing so far). -- Caveat: To be able to press "Play" to get past the steam authentication, internet connectivity has to be disabled, the conditions agreee, 5x Yes... and then the game would function normally, even if I restore internet connectivity while the game is operational. Hopefully this makes the game available to those who like it, want to play it, or are stuck with a purchase they made due to the lack of response from the dev team or steam. Man, I really enjoyed this game earlier this year. Took a break to play other things, came back, and suddenly it's unplayable (see other recent reviews about server connectivity). Really disappointing.

The game appears to have been abandoned by the developers. Tried to boot and like many other users the game cannot access save data. According to the official Discord it appears that the development team may have been dissolved and nobody has heard anything recently about further support. DO NOT BUY THIS GAME.

As everyone else has said, you can literally no longer start the game, don't buy it.

The devs went MIA after the last update on this and you can't play this unless you do some workaround to get it to boot after the title screen. Don't bother with this one, its a bricked and abandoned game. Like other recent reviews as of this time say its a Smash and Grab by the now dissolved dev team.

The people associated with this game need to face criminal charges. They scammed everyone who bought the game in early access and beyond. You no longer can play the game and it's been over a year (i think?). They shut everything down and said they were "working on a fix" on online forums only to go completely dark. Would love to know how I can get my money back from these scumbags (if there's even a way).
