About
Escape Simulator is a first-person puzzler you can play solo or in an online co-op. Explore a growing set of highly interactive escape rooms. Move furniture, pick up and examine everything, smash pots and break locks! Supports community-made rooms through the level editor.
Interactive Puzzles: Rummage through 28 rooms filled with puzzles designed by real-life escape room operators. If something is not nailed to the wall, you can pick it up.
Online Co-Op: All the rooms are playable in an online co-op. We recommend to play built-in rooms with up to 3 players (but you're welcome to play with more). Community rooms have been tested with up to 10 people. Customize your character and join with friends to work-out puzzles together. More heads are better than one!
Examine Everything: Read through books, examine ancient artifacts and find clues to riddles. Need to cross-reference a clue? No, problem - just pin it to the screen.
Community-Made Rooms: The game includes a room editor with which you can design your own escape rooms and puzzles. Through workshop integration, you get to play awesome things the community has created. Currently, there are more than 4000 community-rooms available!
Labyrinth of Egypt

Edgewood Mansion
"You were invited to attend a special dinner at Dr. Edgewood's mansion. Instead of eating food, you'll be solving a victorian mystery."
Omega Corporation
"Your friend disappeared while investigating the mysterious Omega Corporation. Follow their tracks and uncover the truth."

Escape simulator is phenomenal in it's level design. These escape rooms are leagues above others in the way they're thought out. I love a challenge and I love even more having the game make you feel intelligent for solving clues and progressing the game. The developers poured so much into Escape Simulator with numerous DLC's each seemingly better than the last, all with fair prices or even free. The feel of the game mechanics are super smooth and refined too, so navigating the levels feels like a breeze. Genuinely cannot recommend this game more, you get so much enjoyment and replayability out of it! 9.5/10
A fantastic escape room puzzle game that's just as fun solo as it is with friends. The escape rooms are clever, satisfying to solve, and constantly introduce fresh ideas without becoming frustrating. The built-in level editor and community-made rooms add an incredible amount of replay value, making it easy to keep coming back for more.

Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 2.43/day in the week to Jul 30 → 1.86/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

To much claustrophobic.
It's a lot of fun, but there are a LOT of issues with desyncing in multiplayer. We had far too many times we would fail a puzzle because something needed clipped out of the world, or buttons would vanish from something and suddenly be on the other side of the map and not work, or a door would be open for one person and closed for another (two different states for things you're looking at was the most common thing we saw, but could be worked around at least). Whatever's going on with the multiplayer needs to get fixed before this game is worth it.
Motion sickness
Better than the sequel. The rooms are a bit claustrophobic, especially in multiplayer, but the puzzles are a lot of fun and the aesthetics and style are great. Most of the puzzles are fair with solutions that seem obvious once you've figured them out - little to no "How was I supposed to figure that out?" moments. The extra content and free DLCs range from okay to amazing. My friends and I were able to 100% everything, tokens and achievements included, in under 15 hours without guides. Just completing the main game and achievements were less than half of that. Multiplayer is mostly stable, communication and interaction are fine, overall a fun casual experience for one or more players.
I'm no expert in this genre, but I enjoy puzzles in everyday life. What I mean is that, at first glance, this game may seem simple and enjoyable, but after a couple of hours, you run into some pretty complicated puzzles and start scratching your head.
They are more like escape closets than escape rooms. It's a little odd how claustrophobic the levels are, especially if you're supposed to be able to do multiplayer and especially after playing something with more room to breathe and move about like Escape from Mystwood Mansion. The controls can be a little clunky and the extra objective of finding hidden coins in every level seems tacked on. Many of the puzzles are a bit too simplistic, and because the levels are so tiny there isn't room for the overall level progression to have much to it. The workshop support is a good thing but overall unless you're curious about what an escape room is and want a beginner's intro, I would pass on this.
